Trax thought about it.

"I don't know, I think I'd rather starve as a free man.

How'd you get out?"

[OOC: Trax is assuming that's where Nim's military training took place]

"I suppose going awol is a type of 'getting out.' We planned it some and slipped out during an extended assignment, so technically MIA."

Discussing her Lorrd background actually sent a pang of alarm racing through her. Nim trusted Trax implicitly, but it was one of the things that could absolutely have her identified all the way back to her origin. It was a cardinal sin in the world of anonymity. It forced her to take a deep breath.

OOC: I realized after writing that I said "we" planned it, which is true, but I suppose she doesn't realize she said it plural.

"Did I cross a line?" he asked, noticing Nim having to take an extra deep breath.

[Nim Naja]

"No, not at all. Willing to cross lines is something I like about you."

"I'm just.. I dunno. It's strange actually talking about home with someone. I've tried to be a ghost for several years now, ever since.."

She paused, trying to keep out the images and thoughts of that life-altering moment.

"Well. We weren't careful enough, and there was a high chance the Imps were on to us. So when I set up shop again I changed operations drastically; I never worked with a firm again. So, congrats, you're one of very few clients I've met face to face, and the only one I've ever spoken intimately with."

[Trax]

"Well thanks," Trax began, replying to the fact she'd met him face to face.

"But look at this face," he gave a wry smile as he pointed at his own face, "How couldn't you trust me?"
