The door to Niil's cell opens, and silhouetted in the door frame is Nightshade, blades on his back.
For his part, Nightshade sees Niil suspended in some sort of energy field that appears to hold him rigidly in place. Nightshade glances to the side and spots a control panel. Getting Niil down should be a simple matter.
[Actions?]

Niil grinned, and blew the sweat out of his eyes. "You are a sight for sore eyes, Nightshade." Shaking his head, he muttered, "They have so many Force-users in this detention area, sensei. And Collan . . . those bastards are torturing him. I can feel his agony through the Force."
OOC: Watch carefully for anyone trying to sneak up on Nightshade while he goes to work.

Moving over to the control panels, Nightshade acknowledges Niil's words. "If we free them, can they fight? We may need all the help we can get."
Actions: Free Niil.

Niil shrugged as best he could. "I . . . don't know. It depends on how long they've been tortured with these damned pain inducers. It pains me to say it, but we might not even have time to free them all, unless we can somehow disable all of their cells at once. We still need to find the others and complete our primary mission . . . if it's not too late already."

"Understood, but perhaps we should free those we can along the way towards our primary goal. Do you have any idea of where the others are being held?"

Niil shook his head, and winced in pain. "No idea, but I can hear them even without the Force. These damn pain inducers force us to focus entirely on keeping the pain from overwhelming us, but with torture and lack of sleep I suppose even that focus starts to lapse."

The field binding Niil collapses, dumping him unceremoniously on the floor. That breaks his concentration, and speech becomes impossible as he is overcome by pain. A few moment later, the pain ends. Niil opens his eyes to see the sparking remains of the cuffs have been pierced by a vibroblade.
Nightshade helps Niil to his feet, and Niil's muscles complain a little from being held immobile for too long, but he seems in fair shape.
[Actions?]

Speaking into his commlink, Nightshade sought to raise Nim, "I found Niil. Any ideas on where to look for the others?"
While waiting for a reply he stepped out into the hallway, showing Niil the dead troopers, so that the man could arm himself with whatever he wished.

[OOC: Both guards have heavy blaster pistols. One also has a blaster rifle. The other carried a force pike.]

Niil took a raspy breath as he quickly stooped down to relieve the guards of their heavy blaster pistols, holsters and spare power packs. He then slung the blaster rifle over his shoulder and scooped up the Force pike as an afterthought. "I might be able to find Ch'lana and Collan through the Force if Nim gets bogged down. I think Ch'lana's in this same area."
OOC: If these guards also have any passcards, I'll grab those. The guards with the heavy blaster pistols . . . what kind of armor did they have? If they were wearing blast vests, Niil will take one to use (assuming any of them fit).

"Don't see anything right now," he replies to Nim, "guess we will start popping doors and see who is behind them."
Turning to Niil, Nightshade answers him, "Whatever you can do to find the others, please do. I will start opening the doors on the left and see what we find."
Putting word to deed, the Shinobi moves to the door farthest from the one he entered and opens it.

Nill nodded, and said, "Be careful, sensei. I've never done this before, so this is going to require a lot of concentration on my part." He stepped back into his cell a few steps, closed his eyes, and reached out with the Force to seek out Ch'lana and Collan's minds.
OOC: Using Concentrate and/or a FP if I have to, but Nill's wants to try and locate where Ch'lana and Collan are.

Collan is easily located. He is in the large room at the end of the cell bay. Ch'lana is in the room on the left, closest to the end of the bay.
There are six other sentients in the same room as Collan who are filled with fear.
There is something else - another presence, in the second cell from the door on the left. This one also radiates fear, but pain also.

Niil opened his eyes, and smiled. Thank you, Force, for allowing me this. Stepping back out into the corridor, Niil drew his blasters and caught up with Nightshade. In a whisper, he said, "Collan's in the large room at the end of the cell bay, along with six others. They're all terrified. Ch'lana's in the room to the left up there, closest to the end of the bay." He frowned. "There's another presence in the second cell from the door on the left there. I sense fear and pain there. Best we open that one last."

"Ch'lana first, then Collan. After that we can try your other presence. You open Ch'lana's cell, and I will cover you."

Niil nodded wordlessly, and brought his blaster pistol up to the ready. Making his way silently down the hall to Ch'lana's cell, he stood to the side of the door and tried to activate the door controls.

You open the door, and see Ch'lana in much the same condition Niil was a moment ago. Ch'lana's eyes snap open. "Quickly, we must aid Collan!"
In moments, Ch'lana is out of the field and free of the cuffs.
[Actions?]

Niil handed the force pike over to Ch'lana, and shrugged apologetically. "It's no lightsaber, but it will have to do for now. Yes, let's get Collan out of that hell-hole first. There are six others with him . . . and someone else in a nearby cell radiating pain and fear."
OOC: Moving on to Collan's cell.

ooc: this is bogus, I totally posted to this thread...
ic: Nightshade was glad to see his friend mostly unharmed and gave him a gesture to represent his happiness before moving to cover the door to Collan's cell, ready to rush in and attack any threats that might be revealed when the door opens.
Actions: two melee attacks, one of each of the two closest, hostile targets.
