Kesh left the cargo hold still feeling a bit uncertain but better than she had before. She needed to talk to Danny, though. She felt like she had kind of ditched her since getting here, lost as she had been in her own world.
Searching around outside for her, Kesh called her name, hoping to find her before the ships took off...

The former Imperial is sitting ona small stack of crates next to the cruiser's boarding ramp.
She looks up as you walk down the ramp.
"Hey."

"How are you doing? This is all pretty overwhelming isn't it?"

She laughs nervously. "Yeah. But they seem so accepting... I was their enemy not long ago, and now they treat me like one of their own."

"That's good, right? Are you going to help with the Rebellion then?"

She shrugs. "I don't know. They want me to. But how could they ever trust me?"

"But you just said they did seem to trust you didn't you? They treat you like one of their own?"

"Yeah, but I don't understand it. How? Why?"

"I guess," she took a slow breath as she thought about it, "I don't know..kinda feels like the same question about why they care about what happens to me. There's no reason they should. But for some reason they do.
"Why did I help you when you fell? Why did you rescue me?
"I guess sometimes there really isn't a good answer..."
She shrugged, her words kind of sinking into her own mind as she said them.
"Maybe we need to give up fighting against what we think doesn't make any sense and just kinda...accept it and move on..."
It's sounded at this point like she was trying to convince herself as much as Danny....
"Maybe the reasons why don't really matter as much?"

She thinks about it for a moment.
"Yeah, maybe you're right. Senator Organa has offered me a place with him. They're going to be building a new base. He said they would need technical services, and I would be a good fit."

She nodded. "I think I'm gonna hang around Alderaan, at least for a while. Everyone keeps telling me I can do anything I want, but I don't really know what that is. You gonna be ok then? Can we...um...stay in touch?"

"Well, going to Alderaan was the first stop, so I guess we'll be ship-mates a while longer."

She smiled. "I'm glad."
She glanced at the ship. "I guess they're gonna wanna get going soon..."
She wondered if she should go apologize tof Niil and Collan. She wasn't sure how much time they had left...

"Hey I'll see you on the ship in a minute, ok?"
She took off running after Niil and Collan, hesitantly at first but then more quickly.
