Very tough mission. And the end of a chapter in this adventure.
All FP's spent are returned. In addition, you all get one additional FP for general heroism.
CP awards
Each of you got 10 CP's previously. You can now spent those on any skill advancements you wish. Limit it to skills you used, or bank them and spend time training. max 1 pip on any skill.
In addition, for advancement of the story to a new chapter, you each get a bonus 15 CP.
Save them or spend them on skills you used in this mission.
No force skills are available yet. If you want to train a skill you did not use, post about it here and we can discuss training times and costs.
Note that this was a particular mission with a lot going on, so CP awards are not representative of future missions and adventures.

Umm...so where does my CP count stand?
-
Two skills I'm interested in improving/start specialization in are Melee Combat:Knife and Melee Parry:Knife (possibly vibroknife instead). My current melee combat is at 4D and melee parry is at 5D.
I'd also like to improve Brawling: Martial arts, which wasn't used in the adventure. Current skill level is 6D+1.
And lastly, I don't think there were any specific rolls made, at least not that were mentioned, but I'd like to improve Lifting and Climbing/Jumping.
-
Edit-changing skill adv

Corey, if your going to see if you can permanently get your hands on a heavy blaster pistol, it might be worth specializing in that instead of just blaster pistol.
-

You did lifting and climbing / jumping. You can improve those without training.
-
Holy doodles. Now I have 35 CP and a Force Point!
What to do, what to do . . .
. . . I don't know. I'll have to look over things and decide either later on today or tomorrow.
I would like to claim one of those Force pikes, though. I'd like to see if part of it could be used for creating a lightsaber's cylinder later on.

Great, thanks.

Trax won't have any issues, he only killed two of the guards so he only has claim to two pikes but he figured he'd take all of them. Collan is welcome to one as well. I guess we lost one when the one guard fell over the edge.
And he didn't kill the dark jedi either but the old man doesn't appear to have any major issues with him taking the lightsaber so for now it's his. Collan and Niil can start a bidding war for it if they want. :)
-
Here's an off the wall thought, could the pikes be dismantled so the blades and shafts that have been enhanced with the cortosis-alloy be melted down to be molded into bracers?

Better make that a bodysuit if you plan on swinging around that lightsaber . . . ;D

Corey, if your going to see if you can permanently get your hands on a heavy blaster pistol, it might be worth specializing in that instead of just blaster pistol.
So take the skill specialization another layer deep? I'd like to be able to switch out pistols if need be...
-
It's the difference between being able to pic up any gun and be effective, or specializing. Trax without his heavy blaster pistols is kind of a wimp in the ranged area. :)
Also a word of warning - some of you guys are really turning into one-trick ponies. That might hold you back later. Not everything will be about shooting stuff and dodging energy weapons. :)

That's not true. Trax is 7D with any blaster. But the reason for my suggestion to Corey was that in the book, blaster pistol and heavy blaster pistol are 2 different specializations so they don't cross over. Unless you rule otherwise.

Very slowly working on it. Trax's martial arts skills are decent and his first aid skills are pretty good to. And I'm looking to start working on his melee combat skills but he doesn't get to use those often. I've slowly been upping his repulsorlift skills as well so we he can be a better get away driver when we need. Right now I think he's the best driver out of the specs.
Don't expect much more in the way of mechanical and technical skills though, having the base attribute so low to begin with it takes a long time and isn't really worth it. But we also tried to fill that void through recruiting other players.
-
Actually...that's a good point. I probably should work less on Blaster Pistols and Dodge.
I'm going to amend my skill advancement:
I'm definitely improving:
First Aid: to 4D+1 (4CP)
Sneak to 3D+2 (3Cp)
Likewise, I'd like to up:
Brawling-Martial Arts to 4D+2 (2 CP)-What I need to do to learn instant stand?
Repulsorlift Operation: to 3D+2 (3 CP)
Total: 12Cp
It also looks like I spent 8CP on rolls...
COming in: 8CP
Roll Spend -8
Rewards: 25CP
Pip Adv: -12
TOtal CP: 13
-
This one's going to be tough. If I raise all the skills I want I'll use up all my cps.
Instant stand? I'd be very interested in that.
-
Hey Craig...are you sure my Blaster Skill is at 3D+1? I thought I'd trained it up to 3D+1 earlier and then to 3D+2 after Geneva's extraction.
-
Here's the first round, these are all skills that were used in the mission.
I started with 6 cps, used 1 to heal the girl and 2 for the command to coordinate fire on the imperial guard in the control room, plus the 25 is 28.
Skill Current New CPs
Blaster: Heavy Blastor Pistol 8D+2 9D 4
Dodge: Energy Weapons 8D+2 9D 4
Climbing/Jumping 3D+2 4D 3
Lifting 3D+2 4D 3
First Aid: Human 5D 5D+1 3 *New specialization
Sneak 3D+2 4D 3
Total CPs spent 20, 8 remaining.
-
Okay, here's the list of skills that I'm, umm, "applying" for (asterisk denotes a new skill):
Climb/Jump (STR): From 3D+1 to 3D+2 (3 pts.)
Command (PER): 3D+2 (3 pts.) *
Persuasion (PER): 3D+3 (3 pts.) *
Communications (MECH): 2D+1 (2 pts.) *
Lifting (STR): 3D+1 (3 pts.) *
First Aid (TECH): from 3D+1 to 3D+2 (3 pts.)
Cultures (KNOW): 4D (4 pts.) * Reason: We have Kothe in our units. Also, it's long overdue.
Sensors (MECH): 2D+1 (2 pts.) *
Total CP used (if everything's approved): 23
Total CP left (if everything's approved): 12
NOTE: I noticed that Niil has a Leadership skill of 4D (KNOW), and I didn't see it in the player's handbook. Is this a skill that can complement Command (PER)?

I show it as 3D+2.

That's a mislabel - Command is the skill, we might have called it Leadership before, but the proper name is Command.

Darren,
I think our sheets got out of sync somewhere. Can you send me what you have? I need to reconcile them.
-
Sure thing. I'll forward it to you once I get home. I'll also fix the Leadership skill thing.

I don't show a persuasion skill on either my copy nor your copy of Niil.
-
Nope, not yet. That character sheet I gave you is pre-prison ship mission stats. I didn't want to make any changes to it until the skill request I posted was approved by you.
All skills that I've marked with an asterisk are skills that Niil doesn't yet have.
-
OK, must have been a typo. You said you wanted Persuasion 3D+3. Buying a Pip gives you 3D+2.
-
Oops! Sorry 'bout that.

Ummm, shouldn't my Persuade skill be 3D+2 after spending the CP? I think my base Perception skill is 3D+1, isn't it?
Also, since Leadership isn't an actual skill, what would you like me to do with that one? Take the 3 CP I spent on it (way back when) and get another pip in Command? That's what I originally bought that Leadership skill for.

Right, typo on my part. I have it recorded at 3D+2.
I transferred the leadership pip to Command, and then bumped Command to 3D+2.

Beauty! Thanks, Craig.

Oops. Better make that 2D+2 then, since my base Tech is 2D+1.
-
Yeah, I didn't correct the quote, but it went into your sheet as 2D+2.
-
Gah. I just realized that I also overcharged myself a CP on the Cultures skill. If you go from 3d+2 to 4d, it's only 3 cp, right?

Yep, should only be 3 cp.
