So I had a conversation with Corey today, and I thought it warranted repeating in this space.
I am not bound by the official Star Wars Cannon or 'Legends' Cannon. I consider it a framework against which we build a story together. It's entirely possible for Luke Skywalker to die. Obi-Wan might get bombarded by turbolasers. Boboa Fett might get pissed off enough at Trax that he never enters Jabba's service, or takes a contract for the Empire.
The universe is alive, and things are happening off-screen as you guys move through the galaxy. Ripples will intersect, and they may have impacts both great and small that you can't foresee - Corey called it the Butterfly Effect, which is an apt reference.
You have already changed history. Had Nightshade not opened that cell on the Death Star, Maris Brood would have eventually fallen to the Dark Side and joined the Empire. Rahm Kota was the only Jedi in the rebellion, according to Legends Cannon. Now there are more. According to Cannon, there were only 5 people on Kashyyyk when the Articles of Rebellion were signed. Now there were many more, and an extra ship besides.
So be careful you don't get yourselves caught up in Cannon, or play like you know what is going to happen. Taking Luke into a difficult situation because you think he is invincible and that invincibility might rub off on you would be a mistake.

Nothing in particular caused this, and no one has done anything wrong here. I just wanted to make sure we are all clear on the role of Cannon and Legends.
Thank you.
