"Yes he is.  And what of it?"

She shrugged again, feeling a bit uncomfortable but not quite willing to back down. "You said yourself that this planet's fight against the empire was never your fight to begin with...."

"And you think what?  That I'm going to ask Cali to get me off this planet?"

"No." She answered. "And, I think you KNOW what i mean but you're pretending that you don't. Because whether it's pretend, or not, you ask a lot what is in something for you, and it just seems that you and Cali have been getting along pretty well."

She looked away again for a minute, but then added softly, "And I don't think the team in the specs would be nearly the same without you....and I don't want to see you leave."

Trax failed to contain himself and let out a hardy laugh.

"The spec team definitely wouldn't be the same without me.

Between Niil, and now recently Jex, they've got too many morals.  They need me to balance them out.  Sometimes to get the job done, you have to give up the moral high ground.  Something I don't think either of them is willing to do."

Trax mumbled to himself recalling the time Jex stepped in the way of him finishing off that pesky bounty hunter.

"Look, I'm not going to lie to you.  Yeah I'm always looking for an angle or a way to get something out of any given situation.  That's how I operate.  As for me and Cali, we get along because we recognize how we can both benefit from working together.  He has resources and man power that can be beneficial to me, and I have skills and talents that can be beneficial to him.

So don't you worry your pretty little head, I'm not going anywhere just yet."

She looked at him for a few second longer, shrugged, and went back to looking out at the landscape again.

[OOC: Sorry if this is somewhat inaccurate, but I don't know how big the shuttle is.]

Trax stood up and made his way to the cockpit.  "How long until we reach the estate?"

"20 minutes. There will be  a bit of overland travel to get back to my Uncle's estate."

Trax nodded to the pilot and headed back and began donning his armor and checking his blasters.  Better safe than sorry.

"Thanks, Trax" she said softly as she got up, herself, making a show of getting her own gear together.

"Ya know, your gear should prolly be tuned up a bit after so much use...."

"Probably more than a bit." Trax joked.  "I'd appreciate the help if you're willing?"

Trax paused, and in the most genuine tone one would ever hear from him he said, "You're welcome Mariah."

"Willing? To play with your toys for a while?" she flashed him a grin. "You crazy?"

Then the grin went mostly away, although there was the faintest of smiles tugging the corner of her lips. "Anytime you want."

"So I guess I should take a look at your gear, then...." she said, trying to keep her face from showing her....interest....in all his assorted gear.

(OOC: Ken, anytime you wanna move on here is fine with me. Just let me know.)
