She shivered. "I'm not sure how much I want to talk about that...but I meant you'do laugh at my answer. I want something to work toward. Something...useful...to do. I'm tired of living each day just for the reason of seeing if I can make it another day or not...."

Collan didn't even smile.

"Nope...I find nothing to laugh at in that. I think you would easily find that in the Resistance. We'd have to give you a little more combat training but your technical skills would be very welcome."

A female zabrak literally melts out of the air beside the two of you. She is squatting on her heels, perched on a chair. She looks... dangerous? But that could just be the horns.

"Lots of options, Keshani. The rebels are only one of many."

"What would the others be? " She asked, trying to hide her surprise at the being suddenly appearing before her.

Collan was surprised but did he best not let it show.

"Hello Maris. Care for some kav and a flake roll?" He inquired. She was another broken one. Collan wondered how far into the Dark Side she'd gone. So far only Demaia could Collan say had remained free of the Dark Side's grasp, perhaps Rahm had but Galen and Ch'lana both had gone into it. Niil...was very emotional at times. And that was dangerous too.

"Don't mind if I do."

She slips her feet down and sits in the chair.

Her eyes are shifty, watchful, as if she expects trouble at any moment, but she also seems amused.

To Collan she says, "Nice workshop. Mind if I mess around in there?"

Collan makes her butter roll and a kav while letting his senses play over her, looking for what he suspects are signs of the Dark Side. He has to think a bit about her request. She likely needed a lightsaber; no Jedi or Sith could be complete without one.

"Maris, letting you in there makes me partially responsible for your subsequent actions. I saw what you did to the tech," he tone was emotionally flat, completely matter of fact, "That said, I appreciate that you asked," Collan knew she could simply take what she wanted, "I'm not saying no; I understand what you need, but I can't say yes either. Have you sought counsel from Master Rahm?"

She actually pouts, and pulls up one leg so her knee is above the table as she looks away from Collan with an eye roll.

"Whatever. Yeah, I 'talked' to the old guy. Waste of time."

[I get a Madame Vastra vibe off her]

"How so?" Collan asked, genuinely interested. She had talked but had she listened?

Kesh looked back and forth between the two as she spoke,  quietly wondering if everyone on this ship was into this whole "force" thing but she didn't say anything out loud. She was content to listen for right now...

"He wasn't interested in 'talking' so much as lecturing. What is it with the old that they never want to listen to someone younger than them? I mean actually listen."

Collan smiled, "I think they are trying to impart wisdom as best they can. I wouldn't know though. Master Rahm gave me a polite but firm 'leave me alone, message when I tried to give him a physical. That said...Maris...what you did to the tech...was there anything left of his mind?"

Collan was clearly horrified at the memory of the tech and what Maris had done. He believed her to have had cause but for a Jedi it was always the minimum violence needed to accomplish a goals. Collan perhaps didn't that ingrained to his bones yet but the philosophy he'd read was very clear.

"Sure, he'd wake up with a headache."

She scowls at you with a sneer. "Do I detect a note of judgement in your question?"
