Maris nods. "And that's what they want, in the end. Hatred, anger and fear."

That made the teenage girl pause.

"But how else are you supposed to respond to something like that?"

She shrugs. "I know. It's tough to break that cycle. And I'm hardly one to talk." Her voice grows quiet. "But I'm trying."

"Being alone is freeing," she commented,  changing the subject, "but it's also pretty lonely, isn't it?"

She draws a breath before she answers. "Yeah."

She is quiet a moment before she goes on. "Maybe it would be easier if you never spend time with others? I don't know. I do know that once you loose them, going back to being alone is hard. I miss the people I was close to. A lot."

She turns to you, and there is an intensity to her eyes. "But I wouldn't give up those memories for anything."

"Then....maybe we shouldn't stay alone?" She commented, watching for Maris's reaction

She wasn't sure if she should go or stay. She wasn't exactly a "people" person and didn't want to overstay her welcome..

But she did have a thought that maybe was important to share.

"Um. For what it's worth, I know you and Collan didn't exactly seem to get along. But he DID encourage me to come talk to you. I just thought you should know."

She smirks, one eyebrow raised. "Really? I'll admit to being surprised. Maybe he's not a total shabuir after all. Maybe."

She shrugs. "We'll see. If he comes to talk, maybe I'll listen." She is smiling when she says this.

She got up to leave but hesitated. "Will you be around to talk to later?"

She smiled at that. "Thanks", she said, her voice sounding a bit lighter. "I really do appreciate you talking with me"

She hesitated, and then turned back to the Zabrack.

She had been close to asking Collan, but couldn't bring herself to do it. He was too intent on "healing" her. She couldn't bare to ask. But maybe she could ask Maris....

"Hey. Small question. It's not really important, but I was just wondering....on the Station, Ch'alana did something to me....it....muted my emotions or something and made me feel calm."

She tried to sound nonchalant as she spoke, as if it didn't really mean that much to her. But it did....

"Do you, um, know how to do that?"

She considers a moment. "I'm afraid not. But I think I know how he might have done it. Want me to try?"
