She stops and turns. Seeing your outstretched hand, and looks at it like it might bite her.
She takes a breath, as if considering. She frowns, clearly uncomfortable. Once second stretches to two, and you are about to lower your hand when she steps in and gives you a very stiff, wooden and very quick embrace at the shoulders.
[If you squeeze her more than lightly, she quickly wriggles out.]
She steps back awkwardly, and looks away self-consciously. "Not really my thing, you know? All this touching. I've done way, way more of that in the last two weeks than I have the rest of my life combined. I'm pretty weirded out by it still."
She pauses as if she would say more, then looks at the cruiser as if she wants to run and hide. Her face looks very troubled, and when she turns back to you, her eyes are brimming. "You've been better to me than I deserve. You still kark things up... a lot..." she laughs nervously, "... but you're trying. That's more than most." She gives you a nervous, self-conscious smile, and looks again at the cruiser.
She glances back. "I should go before I ..." Her voice has a pleading tone.
