Collan and Niil: Assemble the Militia

[Collan]

"Yeah...Commander Jann is our first stop," Collan agreed before adding, "I despair for where to start. Obviously he wants us to be able to fly. I can do some already but nothing spectacular. I guess we'll start there. I need to get more first aid and repulsorcraft ops under my belt. Plus some slicing. Learning how to command troops too. And negotiating more...plus...the Jedi stuff."

He sighed, "It's a long list and I'm not sure how much time I have. Especially if Demaia was right...which she had the unfortunate habit of being."

[Niil Spaar]

Niil clapped Collan on the shoulder.  "There'll be time for we'll make the time.  Granted, we probably won't sleep at all for the next few years, but it will be done.  Don't forget, Rahm has a few decades' worth of experience under his belt on us, and he probably started Jedi training at half our age."


OOC:  Ready to go find the commander.

[Collan]

"My father..." Collan said simply, "He will come sooner or later..."

[Niil Spaar]

Niil's smile dropped, and he took on a more grim expression.  "Yeah, he will.  And if he's a Sith Lord, you can bet that he's got some nasty Dark Side tricks up his sleeves.  Demaia probably isn't the only one that can send visions."  Niil sighed.  "A lot of training."

[Collan]

Collan said, "When the time comes, I'll have to use that headband we found. It'll block some of what he can do..."

[Niil Spaar]

Niil nodded.  "And as long as we don't blatantly advertise ourselves as Force users, we might be able to keep under the radar for awhile."  He grinned.  "If all goes well with this Rebellion, then your dad might have his hands full for awhile."

[Collan]

Collan's voice turned earnest and deadly serious, "Make me a promise Niil. If we encounter my father you run. Don't look back; just go...as fast as you can. He won't let me go and he will have no compunction about killing you. He's able to give Vader a run for his money so he's powerful. But, I'm his son and that might give me enough of an edge to buy you enough time."

[Niil Spaar]

Niil shot Collan an incredulous look, and shook his head.  "No frakking dice.  The best promise you'll get out of me is that I'll do my best to try and get you the hell out of there should you meet him before you're ready.  I've already had two people sacrifice themselves for me.  No more."  The stubborn set of his jaw showed that he wasn't about to budge on the matter.
