Are the repulsors and guns running off the same power source?  Would it be possible to target that?  Or, depending on how high off the ground the platforms are, maybe go after the repulsors themselves.  If the platforms become unbalanced it'll be a little hard for them to hit their target.

The guns are basically a half-sphere with a smaller dome on top, about 50m in diameter, and 25m tall. The power is internal to the structure. Most of the control mechanisms are within the structure, including the repulsor field generators, and the whole thing is protected by an energy shield. They are compact, and each one carries a single turbolaser.

They're going to be hard to affect without getting through the shield.

Proton Torpedoes are physical weapons, so they can get past the energy shield, but the shield is strong enough to deflect the starfighter blasters.

I was thinking more along the lines of if it's possible to get beneath the platforms and use Collan's saber staff to damage one of the repulsors.  It wouldn't take the gun out of the game completely, but I'm assuming recoil from a shot would send it somewhat out of control.  It would then take the crew time to stabilize and reacquire the target before firing again.

That might work. Risky though - the Rogue Shadow is revealed when doors and ports are opened. She's be a sitting duck with Collan clinging to the upper structure while he worked.

Good thing I took some lightsaber training ;)

Does the cloaking drop on the whole ship or just where it's open?

I didn't realize the platforms were that high up.  I figured it'd all be roughly ground level...Um, fasten the lightsaber to the outside of the shuttle like a radio antenna on a car, activate it and let Juno just fly really close to the bottom of the platforms to cut them up? :)

Heh . . . cool idea about the lightsaber.    ;D

But yeah, these turbolaser platforms are bigger than AT-ATs.  So what I was thinking was this:  Have the Rogue Shadow quickly drop us on top of one of these buggers and then take off.  Grapple rods would be really nice so we could secure ourselves to the hull.  Lightsaber or demo one of the hatches and gain entrance.  With a crap-load of luck and probably FPs, we can overpower the crew and turn the guns on another platform (or two or three) before the others can retaliate.  Or there is the option of ramming.

Does the Rogue Shadow have speeder bikes or something similar in the loading bay?  If we don't want to risk the ship, Juno could put us out a short way away and we could come in close to the platforms.

Ugh, forgot to ask . . . does the Rogue Shadow have a ventral port that we could drop through?

There's an exit port you can use without revealing the ship. Opening the main loading doors breaks the cloak.

Negative. There's no room - the ship is basically a small hull wrapped around an engine core and a cloaking device.

I didn't realize the platforms were that high up.

The platforms are about 750m above the surface, thereabouts.

There's a man-sized exit ramp under the engines that can be opened without breaking the cloak. Sensors may detect you as you leave, and an opponent might be able to extrapolate the last known position of the ship.

It's an option if things go south on us, but ideally we'd like to take over at least one of them and either use its firepower against the others or use it to ram a few others.

Now . . . Corey, whaddya think about dropping out the ventral ramp and on to one of those platforms?  We'd need grapple rods or something equivalent.  A few grenades wouldn't hurt, either.  I  was gonna say have PROXY come with us and use the lightsaber, but apparently the damage he took won't allow him to kill . . . ?

PROXY is a non-combatant.
