[OK, IC.]
The new arm is amazing. If Trax didn't know better, it would feel like the real thing. Hairs, each linked to a nerve impulse generator. Skin that's warm to the touch, pressure feedback sensors, and the whole works. This is high-end cybernetics, no doubt. Not just functional. The only indication that the arm is not real is the seam where flesh and prosthetic meet, and you only see that with your sleeve off.
It took some time - several days in micro-neurosurgery with a small army of droids connecting nerve endings, but in the end it's painless, and aesthetically and functionally indistinguishable. The colour is steady (won't change if you get a tan) but they gave you some colour toning instructions, equipment and supplies in case you get some sun, or lack of same and need to bring them into balance. You could even go funky - there's instructions for a starfield pattern for example - if you wanted to shot it off like a tattoo or something.
