Do we need to have an in transit thread so Nim, Maris and Trax can talk tactics etc?

Could be hard to influence the mind if the leader...don't know what Maris' skill is like, but could be useful to influence the ones that want to stop it but are scared.  If Nim speaks up and one of them supports her, could give you an edge if swaying the crowd over to your way of thinking.

I'd rather not try to influence anyone through the force, I'd rather try to convince them through words.  The leader is going to try to kill the prisoners, I'm fairly certain of that, even if we do sway the others.  At that point we'll have to restrain him and let the locals deal with him.

Agreed with Ken. I've got something in mind, just not able to post atm.

I'm not sure reading their minds was a good idea either, only bc using the force probably draws attention to Maris.

In my/Trax's defense, he only asked if she could, not if she would.  He was expecting a yes or no answer.

On the other hand, there are worse places to face dark jedi.  Granted this isn't an alliance controlled/friendly world, but at least it isn't an imperial occupied one where they would have access to significant imperial resources.

OOCly, Sense-based powers don't cause large ripples. Control-based powers causes some ripples, and alter-based powers cause the largest ripples.

Assuming that Maris' cloak would fall under alter, does that mean her using it likely helped draw attention to her?

And I'm guessing using force points for any power (or at all) increases those ripples significantly?

Maris' cloak is based on control, actually.

And yes, Force Points magnify the ripples significantly.

Huh, I thought alter because it seems like an altering of things/perceptions etc around her kind of power.  But anyway...

That's one way to do it, based off of Mind Trick which is alter. Her's is based off of Absorb/Dissipate Energy, which is Control.

She's not actually altering perceptions of those she is around. She is actually making herself transparent.

How long would it take to get from Fest to Mantooine?  If they're going to need a few days to chat, we might want to head there while we wait.

More like a few hours, tops. But you could make Mantooine in a day or so. It's right on the local trade lane.
