It's a little difficult to explain, but on our last mission we (Special Ops) ran into a Jedi Knight. Two really. Subsequent to that, I and another SpecOps (Warrant Spaar) went to check on one of the Knights as he seemed unstable (the assessment of the other Jedi). During that, the bearer of this letter, Nightshade of the Shinobi found us. Nightshade's clan received a contract from the Royal Family for some unspecified purpose (his clan's honor prohibits revealing it without approval of the contract holder).
Shortly after that, we were forced to flee the planet with the Jedi we found, being pursued by hunters. I'm certain at this point that you knew who my family was...is. Warrant Spaar is in the same situation. Nightshade came with us. When we reached orbit, we saw (and felt) the bombardment of the base.
I can heartily vouch for Nightshade's credentials and intent. He helped us rescue several Senators and another Jedi from an Imperial base (Darth Vader and the Emperor were present on board-I'm certsin both live). He has returned to Karvis to fulfill his obligations to his clan and the Royal Family.
Senator... A larger Rebellion is in the offing. Help is coming. Those we rescued have put it together...are putting it together. I am with the Knight, General Rahm Kota, we rescued as prt of his militia.
There are two other things: it is likely the Empire is after something. The firepower arrayed against Karvis was far too outsized. The Emperor is a Sith; it's conjecture only but there must be a relic of some sort here: Sith or Jedi he wants. Be on the lookout. In the same vein, I have begin my training. Be wary of anyone looking for me. The Emperor knows who I am and worse, Jeirrod's brother (my father) serves him. By now, my father knows I live and that I was on Karvis.
