Growing Awareness
« on: September 22, 2015, 01:00:38 PM »
As both of you work through your training, you become aware of the darkness within you. It is not part of you, but something external. Now that you are aware of it, it is constantly in the back of your mind. Like a sore tooth, your thoughts keep poking at it.

As Ch'alana feared, the darkness in his spirit has spread to you through your connection. As long as you train with him, it will be a factor in your lives. You do not have dark side points, and still get warnings before getting them, but because of Ch'lana's unintended influence, you will both be faced with constantly needing to resist the dark side. This will require a constant mental effort.

This will have the effect of always taking an action. As long as you train with him, and wish to resist the dark side, you will have to have an expended action to keep "up" your resistance.

This situation will exists as long as you train with Ch'lana and as long as he has dark side points.

Gotcha.  And do we know any IC ways to try help him get rid of those Dark Side points?  I'm thinking that Nightshade would probably have the best success if there is a way.

Atoning for Dark Side points is an involved process, and not quick. He'll have to stop relying on the Dark Side - actively refusing it - as a first step, which will take significant effort on his part and weaken his force abilities. Then he will need to perform some sort of atoning action (in game terms, an adventure where he upholds the highest ideals of the Jedi code) and if he's successful at the end, he'll loose one dark side point.

Repeat that procedure for every point he has.
