Collan, Nightshade, Nill, Nim, Trax: Raid on Horuz

Nim waits under cover for Nightshade to do his work. His gear and skill were quiet good - she could barely make him out, and she knew where to look.

One of the stormtroopers on the deck takes a shot at Trax. The shot comes very close, and Trax has to pull out the stops to avoid the hit.

Collan continues his run, making it almost to the edge of the pile of construction supplies. He's under cover now, but if he moves much farther, the trooper will be able to see him.

Trax turns from the downed trooper and sprints towards the closest trooper, levelling his blaster as he does so. Ch'lana also breaks into a run, closing the distance with one of the troopers by the door rapidly, overshooting the stormtrooper by a couple of steps. Niil Spaar follows Collan, keeping low and behind the cover of the construction supplies.

Nightshade extends one of his arms, and a molecular adhesion grapple fires, anchoring itself on a girder above the walkway. In moments, Nightshade is on the walkway, and the grapple releases and rapidly recoils. The Stormtrooper on the walkway near him fires at Ch'lana, but the shot goes wide.

The second trooper on the right fires at Ch'lana, and the Jedi catches the bolt on his sabre, deflecting it.

The three remaining stormtroopers on the deck all fire at Trax, but he is already dodging and ducking, and their shots go wide.

Nim continues to wait for the coast to be clear. She lost track of where Nightshade was, so she keeps her eye on the trooper, peering through the machinery to keep tabs on him.

Trax, now only 20 meters from the Stormtrooper, fires. The blaster bolt blows a hole through the chest plating of the trooper, and he collapses forward, sprawled on the deck.

Ch'lana, without looking, reverses his blade and stabs backwards, running the stormtrooper through with his sabre. The trooper stands there impaled for a moment before Ch'lana withdraws the blade. The trooper stands there for a moment before collapsing sideways to the deck.

On on the left walkway, Nightshade runs lightly to stand behind the trooper there and raises his sword. Pulling his right arm back, he thrusts the blade point first, and runs the stormtrooper through, entering just left of his opponent's spine, and driving the blade out through the front of his blast armour. Pulling the blade back, the trooper slide off. He was dead before he hit the walkway. He never even knew what had killed him.

With the trooper down. Nim breaks into a run, and reaches the left end of the equipment.

With his target down, Nightshade looks to get back into the middle of the hangar.  Aiming his grappler at an adequate support beam, he swings down from the walkway to the deck.  Upon landing he judges the distance between himself and the nearest trooper before deciding if to try an attack.

Actions: grapple, sneak, melee attack #5 if he is in range of a single move, reac dodge

Collan moved to get into firing position. He would take a shot at the eighth stormtrooper. He wanted to contribute to the assault as well but the dark side was such an irritant.

You can take a round and quiet your mind, provided all you do next round is fire a blaster. I'll allow a modified preparation.

Nim was a tad freaked that even her excellent sight was lost on Nightshade. She'd never seen a Nekami in action before, which was a good thing.

The deck wasn't clear yet but her side was, so she left the relative safety of the machinery and started the long run to the north side.

Ooc: Double move towards the other equipment.

If you take one, it'll undo the preparation. You can choose not to dodge - you're under at least 3/4 cover and at range for the blaster rifle. Likely you won't even need to dodge.

[Niil Spaar]

Niil kept sprinting forward, drawing one of his blasters as he ran.  He expected a flurry of blaster bolts to come at him the moment he rounded the cover of the supplies, but he'd also finally be in range to use his heavy blaster pistol.  Seeing Collan pressed against the side of the supplies, he said, "Go for that trooper when you're ready to fire; I'll keep him occupied."

Collan focysed hus mind and prepped hinself. The shot was important.

The rebel should have felt even more satisfaction as the second trooper hit the deck, but oddly enough he felt significantly less.  The voice in his head that was screaming for vengeance began to quiet as the voice that had been reminding him of the mission began speaking of Mariah.  Is this what she would have wanted him to become, an animal obsessed with revenge?  And how could he protect Nim if all his focus was on killing the nearest trooper?  Reason began to return to the man's mind.

Trax didn't change direction this time, instead he only glanced towards the trooper to his left as he swung his pistol around and pulled the trigger.  He needed to extend his range, and that meant picking up on of the blaster rifles.

[OOC: One shot at trooper 5 and then move closer to trooper 6.  If I can get within range to pick up his rifle, I'll holster the heavies at that point.  The rifle will get picked up next round.

[Ken, where are you on your shots remaining?]

Nim Naja breaks into a sprint, heading towards the next section of cover. She can't help but feel like there's a target painted on her, but realistically the Stormtroopers have much bigger things to worry about than her.

Nightshade, still hidden from view, leans over the railing and fires his grappler. The molecular adhesion head smacks solidly on an overhead beam and Nightshade leaps over the railing.

Collan runs to the edge of the construction supplies and crouches down, drawing a careful bead on his blaster pistol. He flinches as a blaster bolt came very close and pings off the pile of deck plating, but it does not disrupt his aim.

Trax adjust the aim of his blaster and fires. The shot catches the trooper in the left shoulder. The trooper grunts and grabs at his shoulder, but otherwise appears unhurt.

Behind Collan, Nill keeps up his sprint, clearing the edge of the equipment too fast for the trooper on the walkway to take a shot and needs to adjust to track Niil.

Trax ducks as one of the troopers fires from the walkway. The trooper by the door, seeing a Jedi coming at hime, switches targets from Trax to Ch'lana. It doesn't do much good. Ch'lana catches the bolt on his sabre and sends it directly back at the trooper. The bolt catches him in the helmet, and he goes down, writhing in pain.

Ch'lana continues his run over the deck, running up to the trooper who took a reflected blaster bolt.

The trooper on the walkway takes a shot at Niil, but misses.

The air whistles a little as Nightshade swings through it, landing lightly on the deck and using the momentum to propel him forward. He comes up on the flank of the trooper Trax stunned.

Trax runs up to the downed trooper and, with eyes on the blaster rifle on the deck near him, holsters his pistols.

Niil takes a quick shot, but the blaster bolt pings off the walkway and misses.

No even slowing down, Ch'lana gives a flick fo his wrist and slashes the wounded stormtrooper. He falls back, dead before he hit the deck, while Ch'lana keeps moving towards the right-hand walkway.

Nightshade is pushing himself to his limit, but manages a lucky swing and runs the stunned Stormtrooper through. The trooper hangs suspended by the blade for a moment before Nightshade pulls it out with a flick to clear the gore. The trooper falls sideways, quite dead.

That's it, focus on me, Niil thought as he suddenly stopped, aimed, and fired at the trooper trying to draw a bead on him.

Collan recalled his lessons. He took a breath, cleared his mind, let the breath halfway out, and pulled the trigger, aiming for the stormtrooper on the walkway above.

Nim keeps running for the equipment although she steals a glance at the floor to see where everyone was now. She was still very concerned about Trax with Ch'lana.
