Collan, Nightshade, Nill, Nim, Trax: Raid on Horuz

[Collan]

Collan saw the trouble Ch'lana was in too. He recognized the defensive weave and the patterns of harmony. Unfortunately, he'd not seen was Keshani had noticed; the best he could do was to keep firing with the rifle. It wasn't his best weapon but it had the best potential to punch through the Stormtroopers' armor.

Like Niil, he surrendered himself to the Force. He let it flow through him and he reached into the well of strength he had inside himself. He let a breath in and half out, firing three shots. One at the same trooper as before. And two, including at the second stormie if needed to drop him.

[FP. 3 shots. I believe my skill goes up to 7D+1, so my final dice would be 4D+1, right? I'll take on whoever is up when my turn comes. If they're in white and standing, I shoot.]

[Keshani]

Kesh's eyes went wide as the wookie dropped to his knees, muscles spasming uncontrollably until the power pack died in the collar.

She hadn't wanted the wookie to get hurt...

But at the same time....the feeling of freedom....it was....exhilerating.

She reached up to feel at her now bare neck out of reflex. It felt like it had been so long....

A furry paw on her shoulder pulled her attention back to the here and now.

She didn't like that these wookies were putting themselves in danger for her. She didn't want others to sacrifice for her. That meant that she owed someone else something....she didn't want any part of that. Owing others things or being in others debts just never ended well...

She visibly flinched but fought to push back her initial reaction. She didn't want to make the wookie angry, either.

"Thanks..." she answered.

But then another thought occurred to her. She studied the ceiling above where the stormies were standing. Wasn't there......

"Hey," she said to the Wookie kneeling next to her, "Think you could hit that regulator over there with your blaster?"

She held up a finger to indicate "1". "First, shoot the regulator out.". She pointed to where the regulator was behind the access panel.

Then she held up two fingers to indicate "2". "Then shoot the conduit".

She looked at the ceiling again. If the wookie could hit it it could make it explode, taking the Stormies out.

Goal #1 met - stop the stormies from shooting in her direction.

But, hmm..., she thought to herself. Would blowing out the conduit hurt anyone else?

Did she care?

She glanced at the Jedi who was currently standing at the front of everyone blocking blaster bolt after blaster bolt.

She visibly trembled again for a second, thinking about the stories she had been told growing up about the Jedi.

She didn't trust that he didn't have ulterior motives. She didn't trust that he wouldn't, if given the chance, try to take over her mind to convince her to do things she didn't want to do.

But, for the moment at least, he was helping this group and through them her, wasn't he?

She chewed her lip for a split second making a decision. The jedi could fend for himself.

"Can you do it?" she asked the wookie

<Actions: Try to communicate to the Wookie and convince him to shoot out the regulator and then the conduit in that order>

[GM Craig]

The wookie grunts and nods, and raises his rifle.

[Nightshade]

The troopers were going down, but still too many stood as a threat, and Nightshade could see that the odds had to be evened soon.  Gliding forward to get into position he slashed with his blades looking to attack two of the enemy.

Actions: sneak, melee attack two troopers once each, reac dodge

[Trax]

Trax let out a heavy sigh, his thoughts still on the tone of his words to Nim, while he raised his pistols and prepared to fire.

[OOC: 4 shots at 4 nearest troopers.

Assuming all 4 shots are fired, RB: 21, LB: 21]

[Nim Naja]

Rifle ready, Nim pushed aside the extra mental noise and pulled the trigger on her target.

Ooc: one shot, assuming a furball isn't in the way. And maybe Trax. No promises.

[GM Craig]

Two Stormtroopers open fire on Ch'lana simultaneously, but the Jedi somehow catch both bolts om his sabre.

Niil seems to start moving faster, and fires at  a pair of troopers. He hits the trooper in the head and he falls back to the deck. His other shot misses. Collan fires simultaneously with Niil, and hits a wounded trooper. That trooper staggers forward and falls to the deck.

Keshani touches the wookie's shoulder and points to the access panel. "There!"

Nightshade suddenly pops into view and stabs forward with one sword while simultaneously stabbing backwards with the other. He runs through both troopers. One of the troopers is wounded, but still in the fight. The other one clutches at his back and falls to the deck. Nightshade removes the blades with a flick to clear the gore.

Then both Trax's hand cannons release thunder, aimed at different targets. One of the targets' armour absorbs the blast, but the second one has taken a beating already and drops to the deck.

Nim, having spent some time aiming, squeezes off a shot. She hits one of the troopers. He's still in the fight, but his shot is disrupted by the injury.

Another trooper fires at Ch'lana, but the Jedi catches the shot on his blade.

Niil then fires both pistols again, aiming the left one to the right, and the right one to the left. He injures one trooper and disrupts his shot. The armour of the second one absorbs the blast. Simultaneously, Collan fires and hits a trooper, but the armour absorbs the hit.

The wookie with Keshani fires. The shot easily penetrates the access panel. Half a second later, there is a secondary explosion that blasts out a good chunk of the wall and cieling, and all the lights in the immediate vicinity flicker. [He's hit the power regulator and it blew.]

One of the wookies fires at a trooper, but misses.

A trooper fires at Ch'lana from behind, but the Jedi blocks it with an "over the shoulder" back parry.

Trax lines up two more separate targets, and both hand cannons thunder again. He hits one, and he flops forward onto the deck. The second shot hits as well, but the armour absorbs the blast.

Another wookie fires, hitting an uninjured trooper in the back square in the helmet. The trooper falls back, hitting the deck hard.

Niil and Collan both fire simultaneously again. Nill drops one, and Colland and Niil fire ont he same target with their shots, blowing two holes in the trooper's armour. He flies back and slams into the deck quite dead.

Two more wookies fire at the last standing Stormtrooper. The armour absorbs the first shot, but the second shot manages to injure the trooper.

Niil lines up both pistols on the same trooper and fires. One shot catches the trooper in the shoulder, wounding him. The other hits square in the head, rocking the helmet back and leaving a gaping, smoking hole. The trooper teeters there for a moment, and falls back, bouncing when he hits the deck. His left leg twitches a could of times, then he lies still.

In the aftermath, you hear the panting of each other, the quite hum of Ch'lana's lightsabre, and the sound of distant alarms. Smoke drifts gently in breezes caused by the ventilation system, but otherwise everything is quiet.

[Niil Spaar]

Niil rose from his cover, both smoking heavy blaster pistols still trained on the prone stormtroopers.  No movement.  Moving over to the wounded and unconscious stormtrooper (ie. # 2), Niil kicked away the soldier's blaster rifle and looked around.  He knew damn well that Ch'lana had taken a few solid blaster hits, and one of the wookiees looked a little worse for wear.

"We've got find the location of those senators, and quickly."  Niil tossed his medkit over to the badly wounded wookiee (ie. # 3) and said, "Use it if you want to., warrior." Concern crept into his voice when he turned to Ch'lana.  "Ch'lana, you took a couple of solid hits there.  Do you need medical attention?"

[Collan]

Collan didn't know if Nim had gotten the prisoners' location. He holstered his pistol and grabbed the rifle.

"Nim, are we good?"

He called out to the girl and the Wookies, "I'm a medic! Who else is injured?"

[Keshani]

"Holy krazel....", escaped the teenage girl's lips as she stared at the mass onslaught of blaster fire.

The explosions caused by the wookie shooting out the panel were relatively minor by comparison.

Her eyes flicked back and forth, adrenaline coursing through her body - first to the Jedi who she had, moments ago tried to kill, then to the char marks on the downed Stormies to the -

Kesh let out a short scream of surprise as she saw a New Being standing next to the Jedi. He held two swords in his hands and a mask covered his face and she was SURE he had not been there seconds ago.

She let out a short cry of surprise again and without thinking - purely out of reflex and the overwhelming fear caused by the combined sight of this new addition as well as the Jedi and all of the blaster fire- the girl's arm still clutching the blaster pistol tightly, rose up (seemingly on its own accord) and fired at the conduit in the ceiling.

<Actions - fire one shot at conduit without consciously aiming>

(OOC: Do I win the award for the most grammatically offensive sentence? hah)

[Collan]

Collan made sure to come over with medpac in hand. Hurriedly, bore the kid hurt herself.

"Stop firing!" He called out, "you're only going to bring more of them!"

When he reached her, he looked to the Wookie.

"I know," he said to them both though mostly for the Wookie to hear, "it gets better from here," he told the kid.

[GM Craig]

As Collan starts towards the slave girl, she fires a shaky shot of her blaster. It fizzles out before it hits anything, but she seems to be aiming in the general vicinity of Ch'lana.

Before Collan can reach her, one of the wookies engulfs her hand and the weapon in a huge furry paw, and gently eases the weapon out of her grasp while making soothing noises.

[Keshani]

She fought for a few seconds as the wookie tried to pry the blaster from her grip but she was certainly no match for a wookie's strength.

"I know. It gets better from here."

The teenager turned her piercing blue eyes toward the new voice and just glared for a second. There was fire there behind the icy blue. She was angry for sure. There was also pain and desperation. The girl was on the edge - that was for sure.

She subconsciously scooted backward putting physical distance between herself and the stranger.

"Who ARE you and what the frell are you talking about?" She practically spat out a bit too quickly.

[Collan]

Collan spoke soothingly, "I'm Collan. I was a slave once too. I know what you're probably feeling right now."

He looked towards the Wookie continuing, "What are your names?"

[Keshani]

The girl backed up a bit more.

"Why are you with HIM?" she asked, her eyes moving in the direction of the Jedi.
