Trax hadn't replied to her confession but Nim couldn't infer from that alone, not with him still holding her hand. A bad place, bad timing for such a thing, and it probably just made everything awkward. Maybe she shouldn?t have said it.

She looked towards the slave girl and nodded in agreement. ?But if she gets herself killed, that's not on us.? She turned back and slightly gestured to him. ?And not on you. You and I both know this is not the same.?

Speaking of? she then turned to the little hovering sphere behind her.

?Buzz, display the map please, and overlay the detention route to the throne room first.?

Niil nodded, both to Trax's comment about the girl and to Nightshade's offer.  "Good call, Nightshade.  Be damned careful, though; they might have automated defenses online now."  To the girl, he said, "Demaria, is it?  We can get you out of this place if you come with us, but you're need to follow our lead, all right?  Trax has been in situations as hairy as this before, so stick to him and Naja like industrial adhesive and follow what he says like gospel."

Keshani fought the urge to fold her arms in front of her as Nil addressed her.

Why did all of these people think that she knew NOTHING that could help them?

"Keep your nose clean". "Stay out of trouble". "Do as we say". "Do as we do".

She sighed. She knew she didn't represent herself the best in that last encounter, but she HAD tried to help. And it would have worked, too, if she had thought of it a few minutes earlier....

Just go with them to get out of here
, she said to herself. Then you can be free.

"Fine.", she repeated again. There was less of an edge in her voice this time, though. At least Nill hadn't tried to make assumptions about her life....

A projector on the shiny little droid lights up, and a three-dimensional display of the station appear. This place is HUGE.

A red blinker appears in a docking bay. Another one appears, near the north pole of the station. A red patch then winds it's way through the station. As the station is still under construction, many areas are exposed to hard vacuum, so the path connecting the two dots is very twisty and convoluted. The path also avoids checkpoints and the like. There's a few blast doors to get through - you'll cross through three different sections of the station - but most of the corridors should be low-traffic.

The station is divided into 12 slices, and two hemispheres, making 24 total sectors. You are in sector 8. The detention area is about twenty decks above you. The trouble Galen was making started in section 4.

The route takes you towards the core of the station, where you'll use some service lifts to get up a few decks. More travel, then another lift. Finally, a bit of a climb, and you'll be in the detention area. From there, it's not far to the throne room. It's probably an hour worth of travel, barring any interruption.

"That shouldn't be too bad," Collan said, regretting it instantly as famous last words, "We could always dress up a few of us as stormies escorting prisoners. And I'm good at talking my way into and out of places."

"Alright, so the system lists the senators being held in the Throne Room all the frikkin' way up here. On Corellia I overheard some troopers(?) saying they would be taken to the Emperor for personal execution so it is the best intel we have besides what the system lists. This first route avoids most of the obvious trouble but we'd have to clear through the detention area."

(for the sake of moving along before we get moved along)

"Buzz, could you overlay the second route?"

A yellow route appears. This one looks to be going through access shafts, maintenance tunnels and the like. It's very tight - you'll be single file all the way, except for a couple of transitions where you'll be moving in the open. Less likely you'll be noticed, but if you run into trouble there, there will be no room to move.

Niil stood there with the ghost of a smile on his lips.  The throne room. Yeah, that was . . . great.  Get to the throne room, and take the senators away from the Emperor himself.  Oh yes, and likely Darth Vader.  This was going to require some stellar planning.

Looking at Collan, he piped up, "Yeah . . . I'm sure there's a few of us that can fit some of those suits.  It might get us to the detention center with a better chance of success."

"So do we play dress up or do we take the chance the shafts and access ways will be clear enough? I think I can talk us through if we get dressed up."

"Buzz...do you have schematics and personnel for the detention area? Demaria, can you add anything?"

"The second route is viable as well but we might be stuck like womprats in a barrel if found while in the tunnels. I'd hope no one is claustrophobic."

"I'm mortified at the idea of you talking us through anything. I can just see you waltzing up to and interrupting an interrogator in a good session."

"That being said," she turned to wink at Trax, "I'm so your prisoner."

The teenager shifted a bit to look at the overlayed maps. She thought to herself for a minute and then opened her mouth to speak but closed it again just as quickly, seemingly thinking better of it.

She chewed her lip. They already didn't think she could contribute anything. She didn't want to tell them she could possibly do something and then turn out to be wrong.

Better to let them plan on their own....

She didn't like people depending on her any more than she liked having to depend on others.

Niil caught Demaria apparently changing her mind about speaking out, and said, "You looked like you wanted to say something there, Demaria.  Please, by all means; you might have seen something we missed, or know something we don't."
