The biggest effect is the exhaustion of your muscles. Your nerves are super sensitive right now, and your head feels like it is stuffed with cotton, but you have your wits about you. Without the pain inducer operating on you, the chemical soup is disorienting but you're not hallucinating or anything.

You are still wired up to the machine on your head, shoulders and knees, and there is an IV line in your left forearm.

Collan began the process of extracting himself. The IV first...he needed the drugs out of his system. And then the pain inducers. He was beyond exhausted but this had to happen.

You raise a shaky, trembling hand and reach for the IV. It takes concentration to make your muscles behave the way you want them to, but you manage to rip it out. The pain is excruciating, likely due to the drugs. You're bleeding from where it was inserted, but it is not bad. Fluid continues to stream from the business end as you let it go and it swings away from you.

You reach for the probes of the inducer next when you hear someone yell, "The prisoner is conscious!"

Before anyone can react, however, there is a commotion as the heavy door to this chamber opens.
