Nim: Prison Break: Alpha Containment
« on: March 07, 2016, 08:04:30 AM »
Through the link to Buzz, you watch as one guard suddenly spasms and collapses on the deck. Immediately, the other goes into a roll doge, coming up with his weapon ready. Before he can even raise it to aim, he spasms as well, and collapses to the deck.

The door is now unguarded. Buzz reports some life signs beyond the door - about a dozen in various locations, and no nearby patrols. So far so good.

Beside you, watching the display, Danny says, "Your friend is good."

You hear Nightshade's voice on the comlink.

"Can the droid scan of lifeforms on the other side of the door to Alpha, before I open it?"

"I don't have a good read on the lifesigns. It appears to be a dozen in various places but nothing by the door, but this could be inaccurate. I can slice the door so you can prep."

Nim looks around one last time, steers Buzz to the panel and gets right to work without missing a beat.

The panel was an easy slice - meant to keep people in, not out. In a few seconds, the door slides open.

Nim waits for further instructions, floating buzz to a lookout post.

She turns to Danny for a second. "Do you think you might know any of the prisoners in our cell block? I have a list if a dozen that we didn't spring. I don't really have time to figure out who would help and who would try to kill us."

A minute has passed, and Buzz suddenly picks up half a dozen life signs, moving quickly towards Alpha Containment. They are a few rounds away.

She shakes her head. "Two days ago I was a technical services officer. I do not know who is in the cells, and I haven't been in this area since the construction was completed."

Nim doesn't respond to Danny but immediately opens the comm to Nightshade. "Six incoming. 10-15 seconds. I'll try and buy you some time."

She turns back to the panel and tries to lock the security door. If he could get their friends out then they all could deal with whoever was rushing this way. She did feel a bit annoyed that the entire station was at her fingertips and all she could really do was try and lock a door...

Buzz moves to the door panel, and in a few moments you have the access code scrambled.

Meanwhile, beyond the door, Buzz detects two lifesigns fade.

The six contacts are closing, and Buzz is picking them up on motion sensors now. You can see a squad of five royal guards, and a black-armoured guard running towards the cells.

Her heart skipped a beat as her brain fired off a split second thought that one of the faded lifesigns could be Nightshade's. What the kark could she do then? He had to be alive, he had to make it. Her brows furrowed in worry as she maneuvered Buzz up and out of the way of the impending guards to maintain his cover.

He's not said anything in a while.. I have to assume he's still there...

"Five red guards and their boss. I scrambled the door access but hurry."
