(OOC: Apparently after not having been home in 3 days straight the cat not sitting on my hands thing isn't happening tonight...please excuse the typing errors and just know that my cat is here in spirit saying hi to y'all...)
It was late. Night time according to ship's time. Not that the idea of night and day really meant much onboard a ship...
But Kesh couldn't sleep.
She had so much mulling around inside of her head and it was like an angry chorus of chicadias insects buzzing all at different times. It was distracting. It was stressful. She needed something to occupy her attention - something that gave her peace.
Collan had said she could use the workshop to work on the blasters. She had left them there, secured, to work on when she had time.
No better time than the present, right?
Throwing on some loose fitting clothes and a pair of boots she softly padded along the corridors of the ship to the workshop and sat down behind the bench where he had shown her all the equipment - had it really just been the other day? In some ways it felt like forever ago.
Picking one of them up and setting the other aside for right now she began to take it apart. She figured she'd clean the parts as she was working on it.
Collan had said he wanted more power out of it - so that it could cause more damage. She went to work, searching the workbench for various tools as she went, pausing for minutes at a time to think (sometimes longer) and then returning to the work on the pistol.
The work was soothing to her. It gave her mind a direction to focus and she found herself even whistling softly to herself as she worked, relaxing for the first time in what felt like forever....
