It was obvious he was going to stare and wait until she said something.

"Rodian flu," she finally muttered. Nim certainly had symptoms of it, but she wasn't capable of a believable lie in her current state.

Uh-huh.  And I'm Kookie, the Rascally Rancor, Niil thought, although he suspected that Nim thought that he didn't buy it.  Small talk, and see what happens, then? "Erk.  Nasty stuff, from what I've heard.  I'm guessing that you're recovering from it though, otherwise PROXY would've slapped all of us into quarantine."  He smiled faintly.  "We'll arrive at Kashyyk within two days; that'll give all of us a chance to get planetside and soak up some long-overdue sunshine and fresh air."  He chuckled, and added,   "I think we've taxed this poor ship's life support systems enough as it is."

She grunted. "Hits Lorrdians harder." There, a little bit of truth.

"Ship is tiny."

Niil nodded with a chuckle and leaned back in his own chair a bit.  "Yeah, this ship isn't the most ideal for going out on a morning run, that's for sure."  He stole a glance at the interior bulkhead and gave it a pat.  "Still, she's a scout's dream come true.  Hell, anyone's dream come true, if they wanted to go anywhere through the galaxy without being spotted.  To think of what we could've done for the KDF with a ship like this . . ."  Niil's smile faded as he remembered that the KDF was likely all but wiped out now.

He cleared his throat, and murmured,  "So, umm, if you don't mind me asking, how and where did you and Trax meet each other?  Collan and I took off for the Blade Sea before Trax and Wyrren left Karvis, so we had no idea where they went."

OOC:  Shall we shut this thread down, then?

Ooc: oh, hell, forgot about this. If I don't get to it within two weeks consider it closed.

"Gerrenthum," she replied, thinking back to that meeting. A smile started stretching across her pale lips. They had met at Jidoba's Sweet Meat. She was going to miss that place. Kark, she wouldn't be getting her apartment deposit back.. either of them.

"I did..biz out of station. For so many Imps.. they didn't..pay attention. Idiots."

Niil chuckled.  "Yeah, the bucket-heads have been known to get rather complacent on garrison duty.  I guess they were looking for blatantly overt stuff that they could shoot at."

Niil took a sip of water and leaned back a bit more comfortably in his chair.  "So, if you don't mind my asking, Nim, what got you into the info broker trade?  I noticed that your skills go a bit broader than that."  He held up a hand with a mischievous grin, and added, "Or . . .  if I'm delving into 'none of your karking biz' territory', I can ask something else, like, say, 'So . . . what's your favorite cigarillo brand?'"

Niil's smile faltered, and he lowered his head for a moment.  "I'm sorry for your loss, Nim, and for the death of your friend.  Would you like to talk about your best friend? Like, where you met, how long you knew each other . . .  or is that something that I should be leaving alone?"
