Distractions
« on: June 06, 2016, 08:31:31 AM »
After Trax left Kesh in the galley he went looking for Nim.  The woman, prior to about a week ago, read everyone like an open book, if anyone had a sense of where Ch'lana would have kept 'the good stuff', it'd be her.  Much quicker than trying to search the ship himself, and likely raise fewer questions from the others on board.

He found the woman in the common area and stood at the doorway for a moment.  It had only been the second day on the meds and she seemed to be doing better, which is why he'd given her more space.  As much as he wanted to be around her 24/7 to make sure things remained better, he knew that was likely to just frustrate her more than anything.

"Nim?" he said from the doorway just loud enough that she'd hopefully hear.

Nim was deep in concentration with what looked like an operation on another wristcomp, using a holo display on her own as a guide. She was clearly frustrated with it, a string of expletives escaping her mouth. Suddenly hearing what she thought was her name, the woman looked up and at the door, spying Trax.

"Hey."

Trax couldn't help but smile a crooked smile.

"Does it actually cooperate when you swear at it?"

"Oh how I wish. I'd swear worse than a Mando."

"And here I figured you learned how to swear from a Mando."

The man moved to the table Nim was working at.

"So hey, I'm sure you got a really good read on Ch'lana when you first laid eyes on him, any of what you learned that would point you in the direction of where he'd keep something good to drink?"

Nim snorted. "Keep your friends close, but keep your liquor closer, duh. So either on him, or where he slept."

Trax crossed his arms as he thought about Nim's reply.  Duh was right.  The Captain's quarters was the most likely place, other than possibly the bridge, it would probably be where Ch'lana would have spent most of his time.  Rand and Doha had taken up residence there.

"Care to go for a visit?"

Nim practically tossed her things and shot up at the thought of booze-hunting.

"Take me. Take me now."

Then she slyly bit her lip.

Nim had barely finished her sentence when Trax lifted her up with one arm, and holding her body tightly against his with the other, pressed his lips hard against hers.

Even though she had said the words, the sudden grab took her by surprise. Nim muffled something but decided to hell with it and relished in the moment. She missed him. Her hand caressed his cheek, his jaw, his neck, running up through the nape of his hair. And she smiled before crushing herself into him just as hard.

I've missed this, she seemed to say.

After a few seconds Trax pulled back and gently rested his forehead against Nim's, his eyes staring into hers.

I've missed this too.  The man changed Nim's position in his arms, now cradling her, and began to carry her out of the room and headed for their quarters.

Leave the nose alone this time?

A teeny smirk.

Maybe.

Some time later...

Trax took a few deep breaths as he worked to slow his breathing.  He was covered in sweat and quite exhausted.  The woman was ravenous and nearly insatiable.  She'd introduced him to a number of her, let's call them appetites, and though some of them were a bit of a stretch for his comfort level, she obviously enjoyed them very thoroughly so he was happy to oblige.

He glanced around the room briefly, it was in complete disarray to put it mildly.  Good thing we didn't have to put down a damage deposit.

He looked at at his chest where Nim's hand rested palm up.  His eyes moved from her hand, along her arm to his side, and to the sight of Nim's naked form lying beside him.  She was lying on her back with her eyes closed.

A playful smile crossed his face.

"If that's what happens every time I need a drink I think it's time I became an alcoholic."

An eye opened and looked at him before the smile. "I'd kill for a smoke right now. Wonder if those might be stashed where the booze is."

"Depends if he smoked.

Only way we'll know is if we pay Rand and Doha a visit."
