Rogue One movie
« on: July 21, 2016, 01:24:40 PM »
This movie that's coming out, is the story and character a part of canon or is someone just cashing in on the hype?

In any event, it looks pretty good from the trailer.

Oh, my.  There's just something about seeing a Star Destroyer hovering in atmosphere that's far more intimidating than seeing one in space.

Even more spooky is seeing a solar eclipse caused by a battle station.  :o

Gee, I wonder if we'll get tapped to go back to the Death Star to try and snag the plans . . .   ;D

Nim might have to damage her brain again to agree to go back :P

Ugh, tell me about it!  Seriously, two-tone gray?  So gauche!  And what's with all these silly narrow, rail-less walkways over kilometers-deep chasms?  Pffff.

That's just a way of keeping the head count down and separating the wheat from the chaff.

Even Emperors have budgets you know.

Too true.  They sure cut corners in expenses when they designed the Death Star's thermal exhaust ports.   ;D

Damn me, I can't believe how much Star Wars Rebels stuff they put into Rogue One!  And I didn't realize it until I watched the Blu-Ray last night.  Chopper at the rebel base.  The Ghost's bow end seen in an overhead shot at the Rebel base.  The Ghost seen as part of the Rebel attack force twice (near the planetary shield generator and then flying by a window on Raddus' ship while he was speaking to the Mon Cals.  And that's just the two times I caught it.  And hearing General Sydulla paged over the P.A. gave me a good laugh.

I've seen that cartoon show up on the channel guide, and even caught a minute or two of it here and there just for interests sake.  Looks interesting.  Unfortunately a little too violent for Caelyn to see.  She gets worried/concerned when she sees violence or injuries on TV, even when it happens on a cartoon.
