Oh, hell, this should be a good scene:

On board the Rogue Shadow, General Kota stood in the cockpit as a transmission came over the ship's comm.  It was hard to hear over the sheer sound of blaster fire and wind, but Collan could be heard shouting, ""Juno! We may need an in flight pick up!"

Juno whipped her head back to look at Kota, incredulous.  "They're not . . ."

Kota let out a ghost of a sigh, nodded, and pointed at the front view screen.  Juno turned her attention back to the forward screen just in time to see two figures hurtling past in free-fall.

Juno let out a sound akin to a ruptured steam valve, and jammed the ship's throttles forward as she nosed it into a steep dive.

Psha... She's got like, what, 8 or 9 seconds to catch you, get you onboard, all while avoid turbolaser fire, and then alter momentum enough to avoid crashing?

Easy.

Ha!  Yeah, I should've taken that into account, I guess.

Here's a question I've been wondering about for some time, but Darren's post and Niil's current wound status have finally reminded me at a time when I can post it.

Niil is wounded twice so he's at -2D to all rolls.  His Accelerate healing is (I'm assuming based off the skill) is 2D+1.  Can you use a force power or a skill when, for any reason be it injury or MAPs, brings you down to what is essentially 0D?

No, you need to have something left for the skill to have any hope of activation.

In Niil's case, at wounded twice, when he tries to use Accelerate Healing, his effective skill is 0D+1, less than the 5 he would need.

There are ways to boost your effective skill though - spending a round or two in preparation gives bonus dice, using Control Pain can remove the effects of injury, Concentrate gives you bonus dice, you can spend Character Points, use Force Points, etc.

Okay, but for us muggles, it's only prep time, cps or fps. :)

Gah, forgot about that penalty.  Alright, I'll fix that up.

You can do similar things with the use of stims, some spices, etc. It's not a "Force User Only" thing.

Niil can't use Concentration during round by round time and expect much. He still gets a +1D if he takes a round to prep, giving him an effective 1D+1. It might take a few minutes but eventually he'd get the roll he needs to activate it. His effective Accelerate Healing is then 3D+1...right Craig?

Oh yeah, I remember Trax getting juiced up from a stim or two during one mission.  I can't find anything resembling a stim in the D6 equipment guide or online d6 wiki, can you post some stats/info when you're bored and have a few minutes?

OOC:  Regarding the planned training session en route to Kota's secret base  . . . umm, I feel like a dip for not thinking of this sooner (seeing as Niil trained with PROXY), but didn't we lose our training sabers on board the Death Star?  Or would PROXY have had a few on board?
