Limited posts from Mr. Spaar (damn those Imperials!)
« on: December 20, 2016, 06:35:58 PM »
Soooo . . . corporate has added a whole new list of websites that they have blocked at work, and regrettably they've added the Altarka, Pendragon and Star Wars sites.

Meaning my posts will be limited to weekdays after 5 PM and on weekends.

Oh, I wouldn't put it past them.

There are ways around that stuff depending on how they're blocking it but as a sys admin I don't recommend doing it and I won't share how.

Sadly we get the brunt of people's anger when management requires unpopular computer use policies to be put in place.

I don't plan on pushing my luck anyway.   ;)

Just do what everyone else does. Invest in a smartphone and use it during smoke/bathroom breaks. :P last year I did nearly all my posting from the Exploder 7, best phone I've ever owned. Having to post on a 5" is tough but I'm getting used to it.

Bleah.  Back to work for Jan. 3, so no posts from me until after 5 PM (Mon. - Fri.).
