Would Collan want to go back to Senator Pasteur's cell, or stay with the command? The Special Forces team's last medic was badly injured, and she'll be a while recovering, so they could use someone with medical skills.
The choice is up to Collan. It's well known that the Specs see a lot of high-intensity action. Senator Pasteur's cell is more sneak and subtlety in a regional conflict. The Specs are sent all over the system wherever a local cell needs a great deal of firepower in an assault scenario, so you'll likely see more "live fire" with the specs, and a lot less sneaking.
The main rebel HQ is very remote, so there won't be much opportunity for a young man to socialize (which may or may not be a factor).
There are also rumours going around that there is something big in the works, though High Command hasn't dropped any hints, so if you stay you may be involved in something big - bigger than the assault on the Asteroid Base if rumour is to be believed.
So, more quiet sneaky type stuff with Pasteur, or more "Guns Blazing" type of action where your skills as a medic will be put into regular and urgent use.
