Niil checked a look of astonishment, but took Trax's preferred hand and got painfully to his feet.  "Malfing hell, I think I soiled myself," Niil muttered.  "Nice work yourself, Trax.  Thank the Force your pistols didn't go nova there!"  Looking down at the inert form of the Imperial Guard, Niil restrained the impulse to savagely kick the armored form in the head.  "I've heard about force pikes, but  . . ."  Niil glanced over at Aboveth and Waetlan.  Two troopers that followed his orders, and now one was dead.  Maybe both, if Collan couldn't stabilize them.

Nudging the Guard's body with his toe, he said, "We'll strip this bastard of his armor, and keep him heavily sedated.  If I didn't know better, I'd swear he's a Force-user.   Zalbar, Etheri, go to Collan and see if he needs any help with triage.  We might have to evac this room quickly.  We're not out of the Dune Sea yet."

With that, Niil made his way over to Geneva, making sure he stayed in her field of vision so as not to surprise her.  "Any luck?" Niil whispered.

Trax gave a nod to Niil.

"Juna, can you strip that monster down?" he asked before turning his attention to Aboveth.

Kneeling down beside the trooper he did what he could to stabilize the man.

Collan tried to pull up the environmental controls, but it turns out the controls are locked out and encrypted. But he can confirm life support is minimal within the prisoner bay, and has been for several days.

When Niil gets to Geneva, she is looking pale. She slowly and carefully pulls her hand out of the guts of the bomb, and Niil is shocked to see a metallic cuff contraption has pierced her hand with several spikes. Blood drips freely from her mangled hand. "Give me a hand getting this off?" she says shakily.

While she holds out her left hand to Niil, her right goes back in. "Maybe 25 seconds. It will be close."

Trax gets to Aboveth, who is conscious but in considerable pain and bleeding freely. The blade ripped through armour and parted flesh and bone. You help him out of his blast vest, and crack open a medkit.

Juna hobbles over to the Imperial Guard and begins stripping him of his gear. Meanwhile, Coproral Thadric asks, "What do we do with the wounded?" [OOC: You have 9 wounded red-armoured stormtroopers who still live.]

Niil winced when he saw what the bomb's defenses did to Geneva's arm.  As he reached forward to help, Thadric asked Niil about the disposition of the enemy wounded.  "If they'll live without medical attention, bind their hands behind them, and toss their helmets somewhere.  If they need medical assistance, give them enough to stabilize them and secure them as well.  If any of them give you trouble, stun them.  Just make sure no one "eases" them into the next life; yes, they're Imperial scum, but we're not like them."

Turning back to Geneva, he muttered, "Let's see what we can do here . . ."

OOC:  Ummm, what the hell kinda skill do I need to help Geneva removing this cuff contraption?

[OOC: Mechanical.]

"There's a release pin on the end. Careful when you pull the spikes out."

After a few moments you find the release pin and pull it. Locks open, and you carefully ease the spikes out of Geneva's hand.

A few moments later, she carefully lifts a flashing orb out of the bomb. Once it is clear, she lets go of a breath she had been holding.

She presses it into your hand. "It'll make a little boom in about ten seconds." She then slumps down to the deck, her back to the bomb.

Niil stood there like a bantha caught in a speeder's headlights.  Did she just hand him a live detonator?

"Oh, shi . . . fire in the hole!"  Niil whirled around, seeking a nice, open spot to chuck the detonator.

Geneva didn't define how little a boom this would make, so I'll chuck this towards a "safe" area.

[OOC: I'm assuming Trax was able to stabilize Aboveth?]

After finishing up with Aboveth the spec moved back over to Geneva.

"I guess we're even." he said as he squatted down beside her, his gaze falling to her bloody wrist and hand.

"Take a look at your wrist?" he asked the slicer.

"And because I'm such a nice guy, I'll even do it no strings attached." he said with a playful smile.

She takes a shaky breath.

As you take her hand, she says, "Somwun reawy didm't wanp thus piswer gebbing away..."

The odd speech catches Trax's attention and he sees her face has significant swelling. Her hand as well is badly swollen, and it seems to be spreading.

"Topsin on spips" she slurs.

"Collan, I need your help and a medpac, quick!" he said without taking his eyes of Geneva.

"Hey, eyes on me." he said to her trying to keep her focused and conscious.

"I offer you a freebie and you had to go and make the most of it didn't you."

Edit:

[OOC: Use force point on the first aid roll.]

Collan heard that and rushed over.

"Nerve toxin!" He blurted out, cracking open his own kit.

[ooc: craig...what's the difficulty as far as I can tell?]

Trax has to help Geneva lie down, as she is rapidly losing consciousness as her windpipe closes up and the toxin starts to shut down her brain. Meanwhile, Collan cracks open the medkit and starts the analysis.

His diagnosis is confirmed - neurotoxin. A nasty one.

Trax gets to work, and blocks out everything else from his mind. With Collan helping, you guys put together an antitoxin. The medpack computer estimates 70% chance of success, but it is falling rapidly.

You get the antitoxin into her blood stream, but a moment later he heart fails. Trax jumps over her and starts pumping her chest, trying to circulate the antitoxin.

Trax is rewarded a few seconds later when the medpack computer registers a heartbeat. Then another. A couple of minutes later, her hear is beating normally, and she is breathing on her own.

Trax let out a short, but hearty laugh of success and gave Collin a hearty congratulations punch in the arm.

"Two for two today." he said to the medic, his voice actually sounding quite cheerful.

"Let's get her comfortable until we can move her out."

[OOC: Use whatever he can to make her a bit of a pillow.  If nothing is readily available, then maybe the imperial's red cloak once he's examined it very thoroughly to make sure it is in fact just a cloak.]

Collan didn't look that happy.

"Trax...it's too soon to celebrate. Did anyone tell you about my first mission? The Imps had put a poison in a river and it was killing a cell slowly. It literally turned their brains to mush. Geneva's going to be out for hours, and..." He paused, "There's a chance she won't recover at all."

"There's something else...the manifest says this bay is empty. But there were a bunch high grade Imps here. We need to get to Cell 121A. I've got a funny feeling we're going to find someone very important."

Trax's smile faded.  "Kill joy." he said flatly as he stood up.

"Alright, let's go see who's home." Trax checked his blasters, swapping the nearly spent power packs for fully charged ones.
