Niil watched his comrades briefly, then turned to the barrier.  Igniting Ch'lana's lightsaber, he carried on where Collan left off.  As he strained to bring down the last of the barrier, he said as encouragement, "You might be able to heal him yourself, Collan.  You've already performed telekinesis without any training by trusting in the Force and opening yourself up to it.  Don't try to heal him; know that you can."

Trax gave his head a bit of a shake as he began to pick himself up.  He barely had time to take in the carnage before Keshani called out in a panic and Nim was calling out over the comm.  Getting to one knee he looked in the young girl's direction.  He didn't see any wounds on her from here but she was obviously scared.

Getting to his feet he turned back down the hall to see Nim almost on him.  Just beyond her he saw Ch'lana bloodied, on his knees but still conscious.  The man was definitely capable of taking a beating.  But how much more could he endure?  Seeing Collan close with the jedi Trax turned his attention to others.

He took a few steps towards Nim to close the distance.  Switching off his comm with his left hand he wrapped his right arm around her waist, squeezing her against him tightly for a few seconds as he looked the woman over for injuries...and because she was very nice to look over.

"I'm good, I'm good." he reassured her.  "Keshani is freaked, but doesn't look hurt otherwise."  He looked into the woman's eyes and though he didn't say anything, his thoughts were so clear to her he might as well have.  I need to go to her.  And yeah, I know what I said, and I know...she isn't but... even in his thoughts he couldn't fully explain himself, and what the girl represented to him.  What he did understand was that she called for him and he needed to go to the girl.

Moving his arm from her waist he took Nim's hand and started walking with her towards Keshani.  When they reached the girl he let go of Nim's hand and placed his right hand gently on the girl's upper arm.

"Hey, it's okay." he said to her.  "You're okay but we need to move.  Can you stand?"

She jumped slightly at Trax's touch, not having heard the two approach.

She looked at him as he spoke, seeing his lips move but not hearing anything other than the ringing in her ears.

A fresh wave of panic threatened to overtake her.

What if she couldn't hear ever again?

And what an awful time to lose her hearing in the middle of all of....THIS. How could she protect herself if she couldn't hear anything?

She forced herself to take a slow breath.

She didn't want them to know she couldn't hear. She would just be a hindrance and a worry to them. Yet another instance of them having to worry about her instead of what they were actually trying to do.

So slowly, intentionally, she forced her gaze to turn to the direction of the explosions. She schooled her expression into something as close to one of utter amazement and awe as she could manage.

"Dude!! That worked out pretty awesome!" she exclaimed, pushing herself off the wall and taking a few steps toward the others at the barrier - not because she had heard them ask her to do so, but because she assumed that's what they would have wanted her to do....

[OOC: Keshani's voice is louder than normal.]

Ch'lana gets slowly to his feet and turns to Collan. "I can heal, but we need to move first. It will not be long until reinforcements arrive."

A few moments later, there is a loud clang and a large piece of the barricade falls out and hits the deck, edges still glowing from being cut.

"Then let's go," he replied to the old Jedi, "Trax? Keshani? Good to go?" He asked aloud and into the com.

"By the way," Collan noted to Ch'lana, "I had to borrow your saber. I was going to be stupidly heroic."

"Nim...Niil, I'd appreciate a medpac too. Took a little shrapnel from those rockets."

Niil turned to look at Ch'lana with no small amount of concern.  Ch'lana's going to drive himself to his bloody death, Niil thought to himself. He almost voiced his concern, but instead shook his head and muttered with a faint grin, "True enough, but once we get off this damn station we're grabbing you and cramming you into a bacta tank.  No frakking arguments.  Sir."  He took a few moments and used Ch'lana's lightsaber to render the two repeaters useless, then shut the blade off.  He handed the lightsaber to Ch'lana hilt-first, then handed his medpack to Collan.

Glancing over Ch'lana's shoulder, he said, "Trax?  Nim?  Keshani?  You all right to go, or do you need a few secs to patch up?"  Trax didn't seem to look so bad even though the explosion had knocked him clean on his arse, and he guessed by the volume of Keshani's voice that the concussion from the explosion had deafened her.  Hope to hell that's only temporary . . .

Collan looked at the medpac in Niil's hand.

"Um...I'm gonna need a hand with that."

[umm. I'm at -3d to self administer here :P]

Nightshade joined the rest of the group, checking over his gear to make sure it was all in working order.

Ch'lana looks agitated as you take a few moments to work a medpack. Obviously impatient, he turns his attention to the sealed blast door. He closes his eyes and extends a hand towards the doors. There is a growing rumbling feeling, more felt than heard, and Ch'lana's face creases with concentration. Then, you hear the sound of groaning metal, followed by a series of loud, metallic snaps. Then, the blast door creeps open a meter.

Ch'lanan drops his hands, closes his eyes and takes a steadying breath before he says, "We must hurry. Reinforcements will be on us in moments."

Collan hefted his pistol with the rifle slung over shoulder, pancho-villa-style.

"Let's move then..."

Niil brought his blaster rifle to bear and waved Trax, Nim and Keshani forward.  "Go!  I'll watch our six."

It was still totally disorienting to not be able to hear. The incessant ringing in her ears was starting to annoy her and to give her a headache. She was fighting to keep her panic down and at least look outwardly calm.

But her moment of introspectiveness was interrupted by a growing rumbling that she could FEEL in the direction of the others.

Turning her head to look she could see the blast doors behind where the barricade was creeping open very very slowly.

"Holy...."

She could see Collan moving in the direction of the now open door. She could see Niil waving toward herself, Trax and Nim.

Taking a deep, slow breath to try to calm her nerves Keshani did her best to shake her head clear and head in the direction of the others as quickly as she could.

Trax looked at Kesh with concern when Nim told him the girl was deaf.  That was definitely going to make things more interesting, and more dangerous.

The rebel stayed close to both woman as they moved through the barrier and towards the blast door.  He was a little concerned about how it was opened, he'd preferred if they could close and lock it after passing through but what was done was done.  As the trio got close to the blast door Trax stopped and looked at Ch'lana.

"I suppose I should thank you." he said with a slight nod, repeating the words the Jedi had said to Niil, Collan and himself after the dark jedi was defeated on the prison ship.  The difference here however was it was obvious in the man's tone and body language he was in fact grateful.

Waiting only briefly for any response Trax continued on.  With Niil indicating he'd watch their back, the man moved through the door in front of Nim and Kesh.  He didn't know what waited on the other side, he just hoped that with the level of resistance on the outside, any forces on the inside would be minimal.
