"I need Niil alive...if he goes, I go."  Nightshade moves to follow Spaar onto the other ship.

Niil watched Ch'lana's expression as the man frowned at Galen.  Something's not right here.  Something not said by either Ch'lana, or Galen.  Or any of the others, for that matter.  Who was this Galen?  "Ch'lana?  Will you be coming with us?"  Niil gave the older man a slight nod to acknowledge that he knew something was amiss.

It takes Ch'lana a moment before he responds. "Something is very wrong here. That man is no Jedi. He is stepped in the Dark Side, and I can sense the blood of Jedi on him. He has killed Jedi, several times. And yet..."

He turns to you both. "The Force led the two of you here. What do your instincts tell you?"

Niil turned to look at Galen intently.  A dark Jedi?  Helping Trax to free the senators?  And yet the Force guided Collan, Galen and myself here.  Niil shook his head.  "The Force guided Collan and I here to save Viceroy Organa, but that wasn't the Dark side or Sith treachery; I'm certain of it.  And if Galen wanted to trap us or kill us, he could have just as easily warned the Imperials here to have a Star Destroyer standing by before we arrived."  He eyed Galen thoughtfully.  "The senators must be rescued.  Galen's past notwithstanding, I think he truly wishes to get the senators to safety, too.  My instinct says we at least trust him in this goal."

Collan closed his eyes trying to get a sense of the Force and some guidance. He wasn't sure he'd get it but it couldn't hurt. The Dark Side was likely to try to manipulate him.

"The Force led us here. My instincts say that it wouldn't bring an enemy to us, even one steeped in the Dark Side."

Ch'lana seems doubtful, but nods. "So be it." He turns to head through the air lock.

Nim breathed a silent sigh of relief that Trax eventually relaxed. What happened on the mountain had a lasting effect and she couldn't blame him but she worried, even with that smile.

He mentioned her saving the crew on the mountain but Nim hadn't had a bloody idea how to patch up anyone. It was nothing short of a miracle that Rand came back after letting go and in her heart she knew it had been Alexa guiding her back and telling Nim what to do,there was no other explanation.

She wanted to help this crew but started to doubt what her contributions would be and if they were enough. Even through all of her damned bravado it was clear now that she'd been too long out of the field. Would she just be a liability?

"Trax.." Nim started, her brows furrowed, "I want to help, but obviously I'm not a soldier anymore. Even when I was, I was just an analyst. You know my skills and what I do for a living. Buzz seems happy slash insists on working with me so that's a large bonus. But if it's not a good enough contribution to the team I want you to tell me. Corellia's not even a speck in comparison to what apparently is going on here and I don't want to get people killed if I'm unable to hit the broad side of a Hutt."

Trax looked at Nim.  He wanted to tell her that her skills didn't suit what they were about to wade into but he knew it would be a lie and he knew she'd see right through it.  And the only reason he wanted to say that was so she would remain where it was safe.  But he thought Mariah would have been safer on Tormax's ship and that obviously would not have been the case.  At least if she came with, even if she stayed on the shuttle, it had a cloaking device and trained pilot.

"Honestly, I want you to be where it's safest.  But despite Galen's reassurance, we don't really know how safe remaining way out here will really be.  On Galen and Juno's shuttle, there's at least a cloaking device and a skilled pilot.  The safest place will be on the shuttle." he let out a bit of a sigh knowing he didn't answer her question, it was a question he didn't really want to answer.

"But do I think your skills would be useful...I want to lie and say no so you will stay on the shuttle but yeah, I do.  I don't know much about Collan, and I definitely don't now anything about the others, but Niil isn't much better with computers than I am.  And for my part, if hitting or shooting the console doesn't solve the problem," a he smiled a genuine smile, "then I'm just going to hit it or shoot it again and hope that does the trick.

You can let me worry about hitting the broad side, or any side, of a Hutt.  If the opportunity presents itself and you can do so safely, just pick your shots carefully, and follow after me.  If my targets don't drop, they'll be easier to hit.  And I'll do everything I can to make sure all blasters will be trained on me which will keep them from targeting you."

He placed a hand on her cheek.

"Just promise me that you'll keep your head down if things go crazy.  If you have to expose yourself to take a shot, don't."

Nim did feel infinitely more confident about going.

?Hutt Scout?s honor,? she smiled, placing her hand on top of his. ?Not much of an honor, but whatevs.? She stood up on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on his lips. A quick one - she knew they had to hurry.

Trax slipped his left arm around Nim's waist and pulled her closer as his hand that was on her cheek slid back slightly to hold her head from being pushed back as he returned her kiss, but much more deeply.  After a few seconds he let off and smiled at her for a moment before he was back to business.  There was a certain task that if it needed to be done, he wanted it to be himself and no other that would perform it.  The moving of Mariah's body.

Collan gave Niil a look. Something was definitely going on there.

"So...uh. Trax. We have bad news...disasterous really."

Trax gave Nim something of an 'is he serious' look before turning to Collan.

"Well, let's hear it."

"The Imps bombarded the mountain." Collan's tone was flat-ish; it was easy to tell he was trying to control his emotions. There was still quite a bit of sadness over the doubts he believed to have happened there.

Niil closed his eyes.  Oooo, Collan, maybe now was not the best time for this.  Not in Trax's current state . . .

The look in Trax's eyes turned very cold as he stared at the young man, while Nim could feel his arm that was around her waist tense up and pull her uncomfortably tight against him for a moment before he realized he was almost squeezing her and his arm relaxed.  It took another moment before his the look in his eyes returned to normal.

"We'll talk details when the current situation as been dealt with." he replied.  There was anger in his voice, but who or what it was directed at was anyone's guess.

He turned his body away from Nim, the arm around her waist directing her, though not as gently as it should have been, towards the airlock.
