Collan, Kehsnai, Nightshade, Niil, Nim, Trax: Escape from the Death Star

[Keshani]

Kesh looked around to make sure the senators were all moving toward the ship and then moved to help with Danny. She cringed at the woman's wound, but focused on helping to move her in the direction of the ship.

There would be time to think later...hopefully

Actions: If none of the senators need help, help Nim with Danny

[GM Craig]

It is only a few meters, but Ch'lana covers them in the blink of an eye, and Force Pike and Lightsabre clash.

Nim Steps between Keshani and a guard, and fires her pistol. [FP] Her shot hits him square in the helmet. He staggers, raises a hand to his head, then teeters and falls to the deck.

Ch'lana pushes off the Inquisitor's lightsabre and launches a second attack. He manages to tag her with a glancing blow, and sparks fly, but she seems un-phased.

Niil's target is down, so he quickly spins around and fires on the other trooper. One shot glances of the shoulder armour in a glancing hit, but the other shot nails him square in the chest. He collapses like a sack of flour.

The female Zabrak literally vanishes from sight.

Nightshade runs up to Senator Bel-Iblis and helps hurry him along.

Trax, still standing with guns outs, aims once again at the inquisitor. His first shot is deflected harmlessly into the deck. His second shot manages to breech her defences, but the blaster shot does not seem to affect her.

With a screech of anger, the inquisitor launches a series of attacks at Ch'lana, driving the old man back a step. The sabre slashes across Ch'lana's exposed thigh, and cuts his robes where it touches, but the blade does not seem to cause any serious damage.

Senator Mothma makes her way to the door in a sort of limping trot, but she only covers a few meters. She's going to need help if she is going to make it there quickly.

Ch'lana riposts off the inquisitor's strike with an overhand blow of his own, but she brings her sabre up to block.

With Nightshade's help, Senator Bel-Iblis makes it halfway to the airlock. A few more seconds, and he will be there.

The old blind man takes a step towards the air lock and suddenly stops. He turns to the throne, a concerned look on his face. He then turns fully towards the throne, lowers his head, and extends a hand. You have the feeling he is doing something, but to all appearances, he is just standing there in the middle of a battle with his hand out.

Keshani drops to Danny's side and throws an arm over her shoulders. She is gratified to hear a gasp of pain - at least Danny is still alive - and hauls the former Imperial towards the air lock.

Senator Organa continues his stumbling run towards the door, making it halfway.

Trax resets the position of his pistols, and fires again. One shot is deflected into the bulkhead, and the second shot manages to reach the inquisitor. Somehow, despite a direct hit in her left chest, she shrugs off the shot.

Collan goes up to the old man and is brought up short. Collan has the sudden feeling that whatever the old man is doing is very important. Collan seems to conclude something and says, "Is there anything I can do to help?" His only answer is the furrows on his brow, so Collan goes to help Senator Mothma.

The inquisitor, looking harried, gives another screesh of rage and swings at Ch'lana. The strike hits Ch'lana cleanly in the shoulder, but all he does is grunt. Other than burned clothing, he seems intact. Not slowing down at all, the inquisitor takes another swing low, going for Ch'lana's legs. He manages to block with the force pike, but the move leaves him off-balance. The inquisitor reverses her sabre in a quick strike. She hits Ch'lana under his arm. Flesh and clothing is seared. Ch'lana cries out in pain, and drops to a knee. Forced to drop his weapon, his left hand clutches at his wounded shoulder.

Collan continued to help the woman Senator. The old man was doing something important; clearly he was Jedi. Collan looked with a twisted face of pain towards Ch'lana; his mentor finally having taken a hit that hurt. He could almost feel the strike in his shoulder himself. He wanted to leave the Senator behind and help his friend. He was almost towards thst decision but the nagging voice in his head said not to. The Senators were the mission.

He kept helping Montha get to the ship.

"Senators...we need to run if you can. There is little time to spare."

Collan had a bad feeling that Ch'lana was about to be killed and it physically hurt that there was little he could do to stop it.

[Nightshade]

Nightshade continued to move the senator towards the waiting exit.  He had to get the man to safety before he would be free to help extract any of the others. 

Actions: Move the senator along as quickly as possible.

[Niil Spaar]

Niil's eyes narrowed as he saw Ch'lana drop to one knee, helpless.  Not today, lady.  "Trax, let's take her down."   Taking steady aim, he shut out all distractions around him except for his target and fired a shot at the Inquisitor.

OOC:  Use Concentrate and take 1 blaster shot at the Inquisitor.

[Keshani]

Kesh continued to help Danny toward the airlock. She felt torn - like she should be helping the others in some way. But what could she possibly do to help?....

[Nim Naja]

One more for the road, Allie, Nim thought. Let's make this bitch dance.

Nim had to dig a few years back to her military training for it, but not that far. She pivoted from the direction of the downed trooper and without skipping a beat unleashed a barrage towards the Inquisitor. She knew they might not even hit, but they needed to at least look like it so Trax and Niil's could, and perhaps provide more cover for the rest of the team to get to the ship.

[Trax]

Trax almost scoffed when he heard Niil's call to action.  Exactly what did Niil think he'd been doing all this time, trying to ask her out on a date?

And what the hell does it take to bring her down, he wondered as he lined the woman up again.  He'd hit her a number of times, Ch'lana had landed a few blows with the pike and she was still going.

[OOC: Two shots, add 1 cp to each.]

Keshani, hauling the semi-conscious form of Danny, reaches the airlock. Her hands are full of Danny, so she kicks at the control panel and the door slides open.

Ch'lana takes a breath, and seems to recover somewhat from his injury, but he is still on his knees before the Inquisitor. The inquisitor raises her sabre for the kill.

Nim closes her eyes for a moment and takes a breath. When she lets it out and opens her eyes, the world seems to have entered slow motion. She fires her pistol at the Inquisitor, expecting an easy shot. But the inquisitor moves faster than anyone has a right to, she switches from a killing stroke to deflect the blaster bolt Nim fired. The shot gets bounced directly at Nim. She tries to twist out of the way, but the reflected blaster bolt hits her in the abdomen. Nim manages to shrug it off, and keeps firing.

Suddenly, the female Zabrak appears beside Collan. She quickly throws his arm over her shoulder and helps him towards the airlock.

Niil also closes his eyes and takes a breath, taking a few moments to use the Force to block out everything but his blaster and his target.

Nigthshade and Senator Bel-Iblis reach the airlock and step through.

The Inquisitor starts to bring her blade down in a powerful stroke, but Ch'lana snaps up a hand, catching the blade in his outstretched palm. The Inquisitor presses her attack. Ch'lana grunts, and reinforces his hand with his other one, somehow holding the sabre at bay.

Nim fires again, forcing the Inquisitor to lift her sabre from Ch'lana's hands to block it. Again that shot comes right back at Nim, hitting her in the shoulder. This shot hurts. Nim gasps in pain as the blaster slips from nerveless fingers, and she drops to her knees, cradling her right arm.

This does not please Trax, and he levels both blasters at the Inquisitor. Both shots are reflected straight back at him, but he manages to twist out of the way of both.

Senator Mothma reaches the air lock, and steps through, followed closely by Senator Organa.

Ch'lana raises a hand out to the force pike, but the Inquisitor turns her attention back to Ch'lana, thrusting towards his chest. He switches his reach to catch the tip of the sabre in his hand, quickly using the other to reinforce the first. He grunts with the effort, but somehow stops the sabre from running him through, though it is a significant effort.

The old blind man seems to finish whatever we has doing, turns to the airlock and moves quickly through.

Niil Spaar, focused on his task, fires. This forces the Inquisitor to break her attack on Ch'lana off. She catches the shot on her blade, and the blaster bolt flies straight back at Niil. Niil, totally focused on his shot, does not even move out of the way. The blast hits him square in the chest. Overcome with pain, Niil drops to a knee, clutching at his chest.

Ch'lana reaches again for the force pike, but the Inquisitor again thrusts at Ch'lnana. Again he catches the blade in his hands, straining to hold the weapon at bay. Smoke starts rising from his hands, but he holds the blade back.

[Actions?]

Concentration precludes any additional actions that round, including defensive reaction rolls. Use it with caution.

All three senators are through the air lock. It's a straight run of 20m to the boarding ramp.

Buzz is still on the deck at Nim's knees.

Collan said to the Zabrak, "Maris...these are my friends..." He indicated the beings fighting the Inquisitor, "Can you help me push her away from them and help them get away? I'm not strong yet with telekinesis."

[GM Craig]

Maris shakes her head at Collan. "No time; too weak. Spent two weeks on the pain table." Collan recognizes the look in her eyes - it must be the same look he has now, remembering the table.

[Niil Spaar]

Niil sucked a painful breath through his gritted teeth and raised his blasters again.  Ch'lana had the Inquisitor's blade trapped! "Now, Trax, while she's preoccupied! Shoot low!"  Nill aimed a pair of shots at the Inquisitor's head.

OOC:  Two shots at the Inquisitor's upper body, one from each blaster.  Trying to coordinate with Trax (if he takes shots).  No Concentrate this time.   

[Trax]

Trax couldn't help but admire Nim's courage, but it was high time she started heading for the shuttle.

"Nim, grab Buzz and get moving!"  I can't hold her off forever.

Trax half considered making a break for it as well but as much as he didn't like Ch'lana, he couldn't help but respect the man, at least a little.  And that had earned the damned jedi his help, as long as he could afford to help.  Once again he pulled the triggers on his pistols, sooner or later the woman had to go down, didn't she?

[Nightshade]

Having delivered his human cargo to the airlock, Nightshade was free to act again.  It was time to get Niil out, as he still needed the man for his own purposes.  It was clear from his actions that Niil, even wounded, had no intention of leaving until the woman had been dealt with, so the Shinobi turned his attention to this purpose.  Throwing the cloak of the shadows about his shoulders again he moved to a position where he could flank the woman before moving in to strike at the inquisitor.  He had no illusions about his weapons ability to stand up to her saber, so he intended to strike without them.

[Collan]

Collan nodded to Maris, "I understand. Help Keshani and Danny get to the ship."

He drew his pistol, unwilling to abandon his friends just yet and an idea struck!

He called to Keshani, "Can you blow the panel behind the inquisitor?"

Collan looked for anything he could shoot to dump debris on her. That was a shot he'd try for...if not, he would go for her lower leg.
