She smiles. "So nothing sort of the sum total of all my healing lore, hmm?" She smiles, but there is no mockery in her expression. "Perhaps we should start smaller? You do not appear prepared to send years learning everything I can teach you. Is there something specific you are seeking?"

Sláine steps forward, partially blocking your view. The figure turns to face her.

"That is exactly what I seek! Your knowledge has been lost for three thousand years. The galaxy has greatly changed. The Jedi Order is no more. We," Sláine indicates the two of you as well as herself, "are trying to recover lost lore, and rebuild the Jedi Order. Can you help us?"

The smile fades from the figure. She looks from one to the other of you. "I cannot help you in the broader trials you must face. This is not a full Holocron - I am but a shard of the imprint of the great healer. My knowledge is limited to the healing arts. I can teach you what I know, but very little beyond that."

Niil glanced at Sláine, then back at the figure.  "The knowledge that you can teach, healer, is very impressive and of great value in itself.  The Force willing, the Jedi Order will be rebuilt, but it will require time and patience."  That last part was more for Sláine's benefit than anyone else's.

Turning to Sláine, he said softly, "What you have sought is here, Sláine.  If we had years to remain here and study under her, we would gladly do so.  Unfortunately, our duties will call us away soon - we have to return to Master Kota and report our findings.  It's our hope that we'll be able to return soon.  If our tribe agrees, would you be willing to come here to study her healing knowledge?"

Sláine looks at you. "Since the death of my mother, this is all I have ever wanted. It is the only thing in the galaxy I want."

"Neoticon," Collan finally piped up and asked, "I have two general questions: how may we address you? And, what is you knowledge beyond the healing arts?"

She smiles warmly.

"The Great Archive had become too cumbersome to be effective. A solution was conceived, and the Noeticons were created to serve as interfaces to access the great lore of the Archive. I have knowledge of all the healing lore that was contained within the Great Archive at the time I was imprinted. As for what to call me, I am - or I was - Master Siobhan Oban."

Sláine's head snaps over to look at the figure. "Did... did you say Oban?"

The figure looks at Sláine. "Yes."

Sláine looks suddenly unsteady on her feet, and she takes a couple of steps back.

Niil placed himself slightly behind Sláine and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder to help her regain her balance.  "Steady, Sláine," he said quietly.  "Yeah, the resemblance between the two of you is astounding."  He was about to ask the imprint another question, but caught himself and instead asked, "Sláine . . . would you, umm, like to have a little time to yourself?  This is probably a hell of a lot to take in right now."

"Master Oban," Collan said respectfully, "Do you know the location of other Noeticons?"

Could this be the key to rebuilding the Jedi Order? collan wondered.

Collan nodded. It had been too much to hope that one Nowticons would know where the others were.

"Is there a way to find the Noeticons? Are they categorized somehow?"

"The Noeticons were moved from place to place, as need arose, and most had been lost over time. In my time, three lost Noeticons had been found in the ruins of the temple on Coruscant. They were recovered, and moved to the temple on Tython for safe-keeping. What became of them since is beyond my knowledge. Each Noeticon is specialized to a particular set of knowledge. The three I know of are the Noeticon of Science, the Noeticon of Light, and the Noeticon of Secrets."

Niil glanced at Collan and Sláine and said, "Have either of you heard of Tython before?"

Sláine wrinkles her brow. "My mother mentioned it. She thought it was the mythical birthplace of the Jedi order."

The shimmering image nods. "Indeed. In my time, archaeological studies produced the oldest Jedi artifacts ever located. It was a chaotic time, and the Jedi Order retreated to Tython, using it as a refuge. They constructed a temple there."

Niil mused for a moment, and asked Sláine,  "Do you know if Tython is still on modern star maps?"

"It's barely even a myth," Collan replied, "It's supposed to be one of the birthplaces of the Jedi but there are another couple places that arr supposedly the birthplace too. But even when if Tython is real, any hyperspace routes to it are long gone."

"Neoticon? Do you have a record of hyperlane routes to Tython?"

The glowing figure shakes her head. "I do not have that information."
