Collan frowned, "Was the location of Tython known during your era?"

"I know that I completed my training on Tython as a novice, so logically it must have been known by some groups within the Republic. However, I do not have information about navigation. Noeticons contain an imprint of the personality of the individual we are based on, general information about that individual and their history, and detailed information about that individual's area of expertise. I was imprinted from Siobhan Oban, but I do not have access to everything she knew, as a true Holocron would."

Niil nodded slowly.  "Do you know if such a true holocron was created, Master Oban?"

"Yes, there was a Holocron created. It was several years after I was named Barsen'thor. It was forged and imprinted on Rishi by Master Katri O'a, during the Order of Revan crisis, and stayed with me at least until this Noeticon was created. I do not know what became of it after that. It was intended that I would carry it until I died."

Niil wasn't familiar with most of what Master Oban's imprint had said, but he mentally filed it away for further investigation.  Barsen'thor sounded like an honorific, and if a Noeticon and a full holocron were imprinted with her knowledge, then it was likely a title of great honor and respect.  The places that she must have visited in her lifetime . . .

Niil caught his breath.  "Master Oban, we found this Noeticon in the Vault of Secrets on Ossus - the, umm, pyramidal-shaped temple.  Do you have any knowledge of this place, or what was stored here in your time?"

She pauses, and cocks her head. In a somewhat bemused voice she says, "Ossus was the location of the Great Archive, the knowledge and wisdom of thousands of years, collected from all over the galaxy. But I do not understand: Ossus had been thought destroyed hundreds of years before I lived. That was why we started making Noeticons from learned Jedi - the first Noeticons were used simply as interfaces to access the knowledge of the Great Archive, imprinted from archivists. Yet you claim to have found me on Ossus? Most curious."

Niil's eyebrows rose.  "My apologies for my poor recall on history, Master Oban, but the destruction you spoke of . . . I take it that you were referring to the detonation of the Cron Cluster?  The planet was rendered near-uninhabitable as a result, but it wasn't destroyed.  Hmmm . . . if everyone in the galaxy  - well, except for someone within the Jedi order, I suppose - was convinced that Ossus was destroyed, it would be a good place to hide Jedi artifacts for safe-keeping."

He thought about that for a moment, then asked, "I  . . . Master Oban, could you recall how long ago this noeticon was last accessed?  Or who accessed it last, for that matter?"

Collan waited for a reply from the Noeticon's avatar. He was curious also about how Jedi arts might be used to heal the General as well.

She is quiet for a moment, her features frozen. A moment later she resume moving.

"This Noeticon was last accessed 38 years, 27 days ago, Galactic standard time, by Master Demaia of the Jedi Council."

Niil's eyes opened wide.  Master Demaia!  "We've . . . met her.  Perhaps she was the one that brought this Noeticon to Ossus for safe-keeping.  Something to ask our tribe, I think.  And maybe it's important to discover what Master Demaia was researching," he mused to himself.

Seeing Collan listening to the conversation, Nill was aware that he'd been doing most of the talking.  "Sorry, Collan, Sláine.  I'm guessing that you have some questions to ask of Master Oban?"

Sláine shakes her head. "My questions will be weeks in the asking, and likely months or more in the answering."

Collan frowned in thought slightly...38 years was before the Clone Wars if he remembered

"Master Oban, what did Master Demaia ask?"

(OOC:  Sorry for holding things up, but I forgot to ask one important question.  Niil will ask this after Collan has his question answered.)

Niil chuckled, and looked around the vault.  "And to think that's just with this Noeticon.  To think that this is only one trove of knowledge . . . oh, karabast, I forgot to ask!"  Nodding to the Noeticon's image, he said, "Master Oban . . . we serve a Jedi master that was blinded in a lightsaber fight with a Dark Jedi.  Is . . . there any healing technique that could restore his eyesight?  He can still 'see' through the Force, but he says its like looking through a layer of cheese-cloth.  He's only able to sense the Force now, and only faintly at that."

She turns to Collan. "She asked me only what Noeticon this was, though she seemed to know the answer before she asked. When I told her, she thanked me and down the interface."

Master Oban considers Niil's question a moment. "It sounds like injuries the Jedi encountered in my time. Mine was an era of great strife against the Dark Side. There were occasions when Jedi who fought against Dark Side and survived experienced a reduce capacity to alter or control or even sense the Force. They were affected to varying degrees - some could no longer access the Force at all. Our research at the time showed that encounters with powerful dark side abilities could leave injuries beyond the physical. A physical equivalent would be similar to a lingering poison or disease, only this affected their spirit. The healers of my time developed a means to heal such injuries."

She pauses before continuing. "It is a difficult technique that was not always successful, and carries risk to the healer. But if the situation is what I theorize it is, such an injuries might be healed through this technique."
